We live in a timeline where -used- controller costs more than a console you're supposed to plug it into. All because of smashfags.

>Nintendo procured more GC controllers for Smash WiiU
>For Ultimate they just throw us to the fucking scalpers
The fuck.

>not owning multiple GC controllers already

should've bought the big boy edition like i did

gamecube controllers suck ass and are worthless

Why the fuck don’t Nintendo make these with USB? Why do I need to buy a whole other fucking dongle just to plug it in? Seriously. Shit is gay.

Blame Nintendo for refusing to manufacture more of them.

>Wii is fully backwards compatible with GC, essentially the same console
>You can't play GC games without this overpriced as fuck shitroller
Memory cards I can understand, but controllers... Fucking jewtendo.

>not owning +20 of these already
>not swapping out parts
>not custom painting and designing
>not selling them back to people for profit at stinky day locals

Availability is not an issue. The issue is that smashfags inflated the prices with their "ultimate controller for competitive" memery.

Wish I bought the Wii U one. I did get the Ultimate one, is pretty cool as well.

because meleefriends want to use them

yeah. my controller is functioning fine right now but I dread the day I need to get a new one. why can't they just print more of these things?

What's a good controller for Smash? Bought a PowerA wired controller when I bought a switch two months ago and it's sticks are already fucked just from a month of smash.
I guess that's what I get for going cheap but come the fuck on.
Don't wanna use my joycons because I feel like Smash will ruin those but Im kinda sick of randomly t bagging or side smashing

I bought a great quality GC controller for $4 at Goodwill, fuck you talking about?

the official gamecube controller
the pro controller

these are your best choices

Im more of a fan of the pro controller and that's what I was thinking of. Just making sure there wasn't some really good 3rd party controller that I wasn't aware of

the only other really good third party controllers are the 8bitdo. I cannot speak on pic related because I have never used it but the snes mimic is pretty good.

Really? How much they going for? Been wanting to sell my cube for a while.

>I bought a great quality GC controller for $4 at Goodwill
Sorry to break it to you friendo, but you bought a chinese knock off.

Why can't they just use those controllers for GCN virtual console?

There was a controller re-release for Ultimate though. I walked into best buy and bought a few, weeks after they came out.

First-party Smash 4 White edition, has the trademarks and everything.

mmm interesting. I might pick that one up after I get a pro controller. I've actually been kinda addicted to the recent SNES collection and would like to keep playing with a working controller. Im surprised how addicted to Super Mario World I got even with a broken controller

I think they already stopped making them though. The price on Amazon for this is huge

They did

I wish I would've bought one. I decided not to because I already have a working one but I should have known the price would skyrocket like this again.

I have a GC controller and I don't even like it for Smash.

I'll buy it off of you for $30

is this thing actually any good?

Yeah I'm kind of kicking myself for not buying one. I actually had my two original GCN controllers from back in the day, but one of them finally crapped out and I think I can feel the other starting to as well.

according to armada and westballz, club nintendo mario & luigi controllers are the best controllers for melee (without UCF) because they can shield drop easier. aside from this they're all equal, and in later games this isn't even a factor to consider. unless they're damaged or something, you can find a cheap one easy.

Nintendont allows you to use whatever controller you want to play GC games. You can also create virtual memory cards

I've heard the PowerA ones don't last long for whatever reason. Dunno about the Hori ones though.

It's a GameCube controller, no.

I own every Nintendo system and I want to keep it for my GC. I run across them at the flea market here though and usually bundle them with a GC and sell them on eBay. Not even joking here, give me your email and I'll throw a PayPal invoice your way for $30 the next time I find one.

seriously? I won't post my true paypal email here right now but hit me on [email protected] if you ever find something. i'd gladly buy one from you.

I have absolutely no complaints about mine. I grabbed one for 20 bucks on sale just because I couldn't stand playing non-smash games with the joycons anymore and I absolutely refuse to pay out the ass for Nintendo peripherals.

I have the GC adapter hooked up with 3 OG GC controllers and then this one plugged in to the other USB at the same time. I can play any Switch game with it and if I play Smash all 4 controllers work without any trouble.

Only thing I've noticed is it's a lil clackier than a classic GC controller.

Because autistics would flip shit saying there's some problem with it.

Same reason they play on CRT

wtf it's true

We'll see what I come across. It's the slow summer season right now but in a few months I'll no doubt find at least one.
I actually have two aftermarket ones right now but they're really, really shitty. They work, but the c-sticks feel like garbage and the d-pad is even worse than the regular GC's.

Oh and 90% of the time I have to unplug and replug the micro USB part of the cord for the controller to be detected. That can actually be pretty fucking annoying, especially considering sometimes it works on startup just fine.

>Tfw still have my 10 year old Gamecube controller and it still works.
>Also have the Ultimate one as a backup for yet another 10 years of comfy Smash

>Switch
Now look up new unused GC ones.

Only in america tho. Because you people are retarded and lack common sense. Then you have a retarded populace living on foodstamps but still willing to pay full price on used goods.

Not even the real thing. The cstick is not exactly the same and the back trggers arent analog. They put in digital switches those cheap kikes. Games like mario sunshine for example requires analog triggers for the water nozzle not to be at full blast all the time.

You fucked up. Cant even play sunshine with the new gc controllers. The triggers are cheap digital not analog. They skimped for higher profit.
