Best rhythm game I've every played

The game is on the easiest difficulty by default and you're literally guided throughout the entire game, they even added hint pop-ups for some bosses and checkpoints fucking everywhere.

People use the rhythm meme a lot but it was honestly the conclusion I came to independently while playing it. There's really not many options in playstyle besides parrying and wating to go in for a death blow.

When the posture and parry mechanics click it gets very fun, but sadly there's not a whole lot of replayability. The first Genichiro rematch is kino.

It's hard but not insane.

The hardest bosses have a bonfire right in front of them so it's never an endurance slog or "fuck up once and replay an hour" shit like trying to do the pantheons in Hollow Knight.

I've beaten every dark souls game solo, even solo'd keenan and kel for what ever thats worth now and I found sekiro to be the most difficult. Probably because I spent forever trying to play it as dark souls before I understood it. Either way, I foudn it the most difficult.

That moment when the game clicked properly when fighting Genichiro remains one of my highlights of the year. It was worth this initial struggle, it was like playing DS1 for the first time all over again.
Went on to 100% the game, all achievements, demon bell/no charm run, strong contender for GOTY

It's challenging but not terribly so especially after it clicks with you and you figure it out. People claim it has no replayability but it's turned out to be my most replayed From game because the gameplay is so solid, going bell and no charm makes you really git gud, and you can choose to boss rush it if you want.
