Anybody else disappointed with Full Body? The new additions don't fit in the game at all. The Piano during the boss fights/ stages is annoying and also takes the feeling of hopelessness. While that is the point, it still doesn't suit the overall narration of the game.

Rin is also way too anime, while that may sound paradox since the game almost by 80% an anime, he still doesn't fit in the story which was pretty reality-esque in the original game with relatable characters that have understandable yet complex motives and personas. Rin pretty much is as cliche as it can get with all the "I can do it hihi" and cutesy acting. Also the new anime cutscenes just seem to lack the quality the original game had. The additions to the OST are not too bad tho.

Why didn't they just use Erica for the whole guy thing Rin was supposed to do? She was way less of an anime cliche character archetype and she's a character a lot of players fell for before they even got hit with the Erick bomb.

Gameplay wise there's new stages for both the story stages and the rapunzel ones which are a pretty interesting addition for people who've played the original a lot, as well as some quality of life improvements like the camera now moving behind the stage when you hang from a block. Rin's route has one extra night you go through with a new block type. I'd say like 25%ish new? Not nearly enough for a 60 dollar remaster in all honesty, and all the new story content just feels out of place with the original stuff

I feel like it would have worked for returning players as well, since everyone would have known about Erica being trans. While I don't know what the intentions of the developers are, I think they wanted you to fall for him without knowing about the whole trap situation. Making yourself ask the question if you love the character for who he is, even Vincent questions his feelings after the reveal, asking himself if he loves Rin or not, talking about how Rin completly understands him probably trying to mirror whatever feelings player that have fallen for Rin could possibly have in that moment. Erica would have not been a good choice for it if that was their intention.

I have trouble gauging puzzle difficulty because im not the best at block puzzling, but I felt like my first time through that the difficulty was just right from my learning stage through to the end. It's satisfying as fuck if you get stuck and finally figure out a way through. From what I recall the puzzles are somewhat open ended and there are multiple ways to find your way through most scenarios, but it's been years.

Point is, I'm not much of a puzzle guy, and I got very frustrated with the game, but I had a blast the entire time in spite of that and felt elated each time I finished a level. Played on normal btw.
