I used to be told I was very smart, all the way up to college, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized I wasn't "smart but unmotivated", everyone else was just a goddamn ape and I became apathetic.

I seem to be much, much smarter than my peers in a lot of areas, BUT on the other side I'm much, much dumber than my peers in a lot of areas. It's like I have intelligence in me but my brain is wired all wrong. The things that I grasp, I understand them better than anyone, but I also have difficulty comprehending other things. Before you suggest, I considered autism or something like that but it doesn't seem very likely. Is it possible to be an intelligent idiot? Or at least, intelligent and dull?

I am a smart dude but lack social skills. Literally autistic. Medically diagnosed. I'd much rather be able to talk to strangers without my mind shutting down than be smart. Intelligence has only allowed me to keep my life from falling apart. But my life is completely blocked at social skills and I will never be able to cross that line of progression. Where as any dumbfuck with good social skills can make it to the top.

I'm above average, but I'm not a genius or anything. I have interests in nature, science, technology, I read about history, politics, watch documentaries, try to apply critical thinking, try not to get suckered in by bullshit or social pressure (though, I'm sure I fail) and when I don't know something I try to learn it.
