I've kept VtMB installed since I first played it over ten years ago. Been in the mood for spooky games already though, will probably play it soon after I finish Silent Hill.

I think Werewolf: The Apocalypse: Earthblood has more potential than Bloodlines 2 does.

Still gotta clear my Malkavian run. Is there a good way around combat? I blew through Tremere because lol blood theft and guns, but Malkavian has notedly less direct clan powers.

Stealth is pretty strong if you max level Obfuscate. You can also use the Plus Patch to skip the sewer level. And Dementation is surprisingly powerful in the Endgame when you use the max level ability. Make sure you go into the Endgame with as many blood packs as you can get.

Have hope still but I am expecting the worst in a lot of ways.

I figure music and voice acting will be solid. If we're lucky writing, story, and characters will be decent enough.

Combat is fucked. You can solve some of the issues with the original with the right build, but even the stuff that's unavoidably unfun at least WORKS. The videos they've released of the sequel have shit like mag dumps into people's faces at point blank that hit nothing. It's not even an issue of "unfun" this time. It's an issue of nothing even fucking doing what it's supposed to do.

I've played the original over 20 times with different mods and shit over the past 15 years, it just doesn't do it anymore for me for I can recall most of the dialogue on top of my head already.
Here's to hoping that the sequel turns out to be a flawed but a good game regardless.

That's when I'll just play the game while listening to music or something, even without the dialogue I enjoy the atmosphere and I actually think the gameplay is fun. After doing that once or twice, it makes me want to hear the dialogue again.

Same. But I'm not going to be hopeful for it until we see unedited gameplay.
