3 is the best, 4 is decent, DMC DMC is fun if you ignore that it's supposed to be a DMC and take it as a fan-made copy, DMC5 is better than DMC DMC and maybe even comes close to DMC3.

I genuinely like the ideas it has, but it just doesn't hold up. I love vendetta, but it's a shit weapon. I love most of the enemy ideas even if they have shit AI. It also invented bloody palace, quick gun switching, sin DT and proto trickster, but they needed more time to be refined.
If the game had better luck in development, it could have been pretty great.
