How comfy are gaming chairs? Are they actually god for sitting in for extended periods of time or are they just a meme?

My Dx Racer Boss chair is comfy. I use it in my home office and someties for gaming. No problem after 8 hours of work. I guess if one spends some money, then they are alright. 100€ china chairs are definitely dog shit.

I tried one of those at staples, the armrests are hard plastic and wiggle so they are incredibly uncomfortable, would not recommend.

I bought a cheap recliner from goodwill to fill my apartment during college. Then when I moved out I was stuck with all my furniture in small room while I was between college and work. My office chair was pretty beat up so got rid of it while I waited for my new job. During this couple month gap, I found that my recliner was the perfect gaming chair. You recline it back, slide it under the desk, the arms are big enough to put a mouse pad on it and I rest my keyboard on my lap.

Save yourself the hassle of shitty chairs and embrace comfort.

4k is still mostly a joke until graphics cards catch up more. You are not going to be running things in 4k without sacrificing performance or graphical fidelity. Good luck running things at 144hz at that resolution.

Office chairs are better and less expensive than any meme gaming chairs.
Though I'm personally using a single seat sofa, it's more comfortable and I can raise my leg on top of the sofa for a more comfy sitting position.

I concurThe most comfortable chairs have seats that push you into the chair and not trying to push you out.

Dont buy fake leather if you live in some place hot. Even real leather is pain in the ass.
Buy some nice office chair instead that overpriced le epic gaymar gear.

They are overpriced memes.
The low-mid range are not ergonomic, they wear out easely (specially the seat, that tends to bend forward or even sideways) and have a lot of useless shit. They're built to look "cool".
Higher end gaming chairs are better for confort but end up wearing out as well and are expensive as fuck.

Meanwhile you have good ergonomic chairs for $90 far more durable than a $200 gaming chair and are more confortable.
