I'd post a list of all the bad things I've compiled while playing it, but it's way too long. Let's just say that the story wasn't memorable, the characters were played out-of-character and the gameplay wasn't even close to the first game.

That and the fact that they could've done it better with the doctrines. Not to mention the whole MOBA shit that they injected into the game.

ew MOBA?

Yes. Not to mention that instead of a classic skirmish/multiplayer mode they gave people instead a not!MOBA mode with FUCKING TURRETS AND GENERATORS. Some time later they fixed this with patches, but the damage was done.

Sega got left with a MOBA from THQ's development and decided to just let a team of fresh hires turn it into an RTS of sorts. In general it's just not on par with DoW1 and 2 in any real way, aside from the Orks being rad, though they're also the weakest faction by a large margin.

Also the elite system is screwed. When played by a competent player, elites like Gabe would annihilate whole armies by themselves and only the threat of other elites was something people looked out for. The game is shit and a dark stain on the series.

Agreed. The Orkz were fun in this game and liked the scrap mechanic. One thing I liked too was Taldeer as a Wraithknight with Rohnan as her pilot.. Everything else was plain bad.

Worst thing is that GW canonized it. Including Gabe's Terminator somersaults.

Unfortunately Terminator Somersaults aren't a thing that DoW3 introduced, and were rough 'canon' before then, oddly enough by the writer of the (awful) DoW novels.

>GW canonized it
Hold up they can make games canon? Is 1 or 2 canon by any means? Was Gorgutz recognized by canon as an official warboss before DoW 3? If yes, what's his powerlevel compared to the other warbosses?

Yes. The White Dwarf issue where they gave rules for the Blood Ravens. ABSOLUTELY CANON. IT HAPPENED. No, I don't know Gorgutz's powerlevels. He escaped before my scouter could analyze him.

Gorgutz is a Warlord, not a Warboss. Big difference. He's the canonical winner of Soulstorm too, thus he's pretty fucking strong.

How big is Macha's tits?

Smaller than Taldeer's.
Bigger than Idranel's (Though that isn't saying much).

>He's the canonical winner of Soulstorm too
Only because Soulstorm wasn't made by Relic and he was the only recurring character. Vance Stubbs was the fan favorite of the game. Soulstorm managed to make everyone meh (even Gorgutz). Stubbs had his priorities. With how bad DoWIII is I don't recognize this as canon even if GW canonized the game.

Small.

WRONG WARHAMMER.

DoW was army combat (The best and most fitting for 40k)
DoW 2 was squad combat (Scaled down but still good)
DoW 3 was forced esport forced combat that somehow felt worse then 2

>Vance "Where did I put those hundred Baneblades?" Stubbs
His army got torched by SoBs.

Vance waltzed into their HQ and slapped them. Also he never lost those Baneblades. He sent them off and they've got lost after they left the planet. The only question is why would he send off a hundred super-heavy tanks that could've won him the conflict.

>Vance sends 100 Baneblades off to destroy the Ork threat
>Tau bombard the Baneblade armies from orbit out of fear, crippling them
>Orks pop out of the woodwork and Loot the tanks
>Gorgutz proceeds to laugh his way through all of Kaurava with his almost hundred Looted Baneblades while everybody else was so busy fighting each other
There, that solves it.

OK, that's actually logical. FUCK TAU.
