Master Xehanort - Uses regular Keyblade, combines final and armored xehanort moves, as well as the keyblade storm
Ansem SoD: Uses Guardian and dark powers from KH3 combined
Xemnas - Has Twilight Xemnas clothes and abilities. Can throw buildings, use cubes, use the DM from KH1 (we see him sorta use this in KH3), and the cage dm from KH2's final fight
XIgbar - Snipe mode and changing floors
Saix - Even more berserk
Young Xehanort - Uses moves from DDD and BBS, can even use the glowing clock hands as a Keyblade transformation
Marluxia - Uses the Strelitzia reaper
Larxene - Uses electric clones
Luxord - Real time gimmick
Vanitas - In remanent suit, uses remanent moves and the dark thunder from BBS
Dark Riku: Uses Repliku and Riku-Ansem moves, can use shadow Xehanort like we saw him use in one cutscene
Xion - Copies Sora's moves and can use her final form from Days

which is awful because all their 'OC' characters are just derivatives of already existing and superior Final Fantasy characters. Everybody wants to fight Sephiroth more than they want more of the awful end game, don't try and deny it.

Float is irrelevant when you have better options in the air than on the ground. KH3 contrary to BBS has great air combat where you can dodge, attack and block with no problem. In KH2 it mattered that you had to be on the ground because your options in the air were limited. Short hopping in KH2 is for most of crit the only reliable way to attack on air without feeling like a dumbass.

It just feels like once Nomura got the idea to reboot Versus XIII with the next game he just lost interest in KH3 and rushed it so he could get to his real idea. So many things about KH3 were undercooked and I'm still fucking mad that I played all those handheld games and spent years speculating about what would happen in KH3 only for it just to be rushed in the most lazy manner possible. It's like every game after KH2 didn't even matter despite how much importance they placed on them.

I think the thing about 3 is that it had gotten too big to do something interesting with it and had to just start ending storylines like a madman, while the higher budget meant that they had to market it more to the Disney crowd/appease to Disney. For example, DDD was a "freer" game in many regards, the batshit insane plot, the ridiculous 5 boss rush, the Riku-Sora centered story... I expect 4 or whatever it'll be called, with the TWEWY and VXIII hints, to be more ridiculous like that.

-Vanilla KH2's damage scaling is well balanced, KH3's isn't. KH2 isn't half as reliant on stats as 3.
-Vanilla KH2 has great movement and melee, KH3 has floaty movement and Osaka melee.
-Vanilla KH2's magic is all unique and focuses on utility. KH3's are bland nukes with copypasted Revenge values, half the offensive spells being pointless and transformation altered magic are all lazy palette swaps.
-Vanilla KH2's Summons are support focused and augment Base Sora's moveset, KH3's are gimmicky minigame nukes.
-Drives all have an identifiable niche even if Valor falls off and have unique attributes, half of 3's transformation are 'mash X' and completely redundant. You can alter the combo structure of Drives with Combo Plus, Negative Combo and Finishing Plus, you can do none of that in 3 (where Negative Combo and Finishing Plus don't even exist).
-Vanilla KH2 wasn't dumb enough to take Ultima's name literally and invalidate almost every other keyblade, KH3 was.
-Vanilla KH2 didn't gate the best equipment in the game behind half as much minigame bullshit, KH3 did.
-Limits are for more varied, interesting and hilariously better balanced than Shitlocks. Cups > Battlegates, Sephiroth >>>>>>>>>> Dark Infreeno.
-You can spend Drive to regain MP in KH2, in 3 you're at the mercy of the cooldown or forced to use items.
-Every mob fight in 2 isn't an enormous Musou clusterfuck with 30 enemies on screen, 3's are. KH2's lock-on actually works with enemies that aren't on camera.

Pumpkin is worthless against aerial foes, it doesn't have the highest damage potential compared to elemental Keyblades, the Rose is by far the best mob keyblade (you know, the majority of fights in the game), the elemental keyblades and Fenrir are stronger with Stitch, Hero's Crest goes better with 3 of the 5 Forms, every single aerial boss (e.g Xigbar) and boosts Magnet Splash, Star Seeker complements Hero's Crest on Forms and gives you more HS. It's not the definitively best keyblade by any stretch because Tokyo Team understood this concept called balance. Maybe one day Osakashit will learn it too.
