One week boys.
One week boys
What game?
Cortex Command 2: MUH POOXELS boogaloo
Noita.
>One week boys.
I thought it was out on the 24th.
Oops I thought it was 18th.
...how would you casually mistake the current date nine days into the future?
While you're using a device that in all likelihood displays the date?
But the 18th is still over a week away.
No I thought it came out o the 18th.
>liero v2
FINNBOIS WHERE WE AT
It's a baker's week away.
>Cortex Command
Why'd you have to remind me of this shit? I was so fucking hyped. Essentially "Wasted potential: The game"
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOORING!!!! looks like shit retard its 2019 we have fps hd games now not fucking legend of zario 2d piece of shit games
>liero + volcano 2
straight outta finland
Wait. Noita and Baba is You were from the same developer?
I've known of both these games but missed this fact somehow.
TORILLE
Liero was the shit. We used to play it after class every other day back in the day.
They're not.
Noita is three dudes including Baba/Env Station Alpha guy.
I'm betting this will drop to 2fps as soon as you try to do anything crazy
doubt it, the graphics are pretty basic
I see you've never tried making a game yourself.
>doubting finnish autism
ye but I seen physic autism games with these type of graphics and they are usually pretty well made
nothing about this game should be even slightly taxing, neither on mid range CPUs nor GPUs from 20fucking11. this is pixelshit on the most basic level. it should run on a fucking CASIO calculator
sadly 99.99% of indie shitter devs are incapable, talentless hacks who can't code nor optimise to save their lives. we have to wait and see if this games' devs belong to the 00.01%
So what will it be on aside from Steam? GOG? Switch? PS4/Xbox? Or just Steam?
Can you run a falling sand game on you computer?
What does "every pixel is simulated" mean?
>Basically every pixel in Noita is made of some material. The different materials are simulated. E.g. Water will behave like a liquid, gasses will rise, sand will pile up, rigid bodies will rigid body... In addition to that we run simplified simulations of various chemical reactions, electricity, thermodynamics and so on.
How are you able to simulate so much stuff?
>We're using our own Falling Everything engine. Falling Everything Engine is an in-house labor of love. A true love child. Handcrafted in the finest C++ without exceptions, using only hand picked, organic, free license libraries.
How pixel artstyle shouldn't be done. Gameplay could be good tho
You absolute retard, physics can be taxing.
>hand picked, organic, free license libraries
good lads
Sasuga, retard-sama
Do the other platforms allow Early Access games?
not this kind of entry level stuff. Half-Life 2 did more complex physics calculations in 2004 with the first iteration of Havoc and runs on toasters from 2001, you rude cocksucker.

this here might read like it's some never seen before sophisticated wizard tech going on in the background. truth is, it's absolute industry standard. this is how literally every single game is made that has some form of physics interaction. you give every object in the game its own parameters and values on how it should behave.
this game's whole shtick is that "every pixel has its own parameter and acts accordingly whether it belongs to the wood, water, fire, etc.pp. type". that's it. Yoshi's fucking Story on the SNES had this with the rolling boulders.
Did it have 3 million boulders?
godamn you're dumb
A very reasonable assessment that I will not attempt to find fault with.
The point is that it is always VERY easy to make a game that runs like shit, even if it looks like it shouldn't.
>you give every object in the game its own parameters and values on how it should behave.
No shit, colon faggot, but when there are a fuckton of objects shit can get glitchy.
But those devs are higly autistic, so I believe game will work fine.
dunning-kruger: the post
How long till 3D version?
Look out we've got a pro gamedev here. What game have you made, beside "New Unity Project 1-through-54"?
>Volcano 2
Holy shit that's a blast from the past
I can already tell this game is going to take many hours from my free time
