What is the best game to play for this feel?
I tried Stellaris but the only way to have massive fleet battles before the super late game is by going devouring swarm or machine intelligence, I cant LARP as the INTERGALACTICGROBGROSSDEUTSCHENVOLKDEUTSCHLANDREICH that way.

Endless space 2? Not sure.
Reinhard is more correct but I like Yang better as a character
the logh pc game.
Yang doesn't exist in the real world because he is too idealistic that is dependent on virtuous leading. Yang Ideally is a better leader.
Starsector, to an extent. You can have small fleets of huge ships or huge fleets of small ships. Which you can control yourself or let the much more competent AI handle it.
I didn't hate the remake as much as I expected to
For me this is the closest you'll get. start as a peasnt boy in space end up being the most powerfull fleet taking out eldritch horrors
I like them both
Its so sad when Kircheis tells Reinhard they would have probably been good friends if not for the war
They both hated both the empire and the democracy, they realised how pointless the whole thing was and how both sides are full of shitty people
the battle scenes are great, but they changed too much of the dialogue and the music
also the character redesigns are so bad
I dropped it after a couple of episodes. It wasn't bad but it also couldn't match up to the original for me personally
A fleet of 5 ships
It's one of my favorite DS games and slapping parts down to design your ships is fun but large fleet battles only happen in a few cutscenes
fuck the Bad to the Bone Pirates though. fuck those goddamn niggerfaggots
Starsector does it for me a little bit but lacks characterization so it's entirely larping in your head.
how does it work?
I think you could try to pull off something like LoGH in Space Empires IV-V with custom made map and restricting various techs.
There's an LOGH game on PC, it's in moonrunes though
How does what work, the game?
You basically earn cash through either bounty hunting, trading, missions, etc whatever you want and eventually build up your own fleet, can staff officers to pilot other ships while you pilot whatever you want. Eventually you can colonize a planet to produce more cash to fund your war efforts as you eventually start to hate whatever faction has been harassing you the most and plot to obliterate them from the universe. Kinda like Mount & Blade
I also totally did not install a LoGH portrait pack for my officers for any particular reason, nope.
how difficult is it? I was shit at mountain blade. Never could do anything other than die
I HOLD YOU IN MY SOUUUL YOU'LLLLLLLLLLLLLL ALWAYS BEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
HERE WITH ME FOREVER
Starsector should've been an underwater combat game tbqh, with all that limited weapon range and ship movement speed.
Emperor of the Fading Suns
also
It ain't easy but it also isn't autistically hard. Just avoid battles against larger fleets if your shit sucks. You can choose to pilot a big ass fortress flagship and let your crew do most of the fighting, or a paper thin frigate and go full 360noscope on space niggas. If you wanna try it out some youtube attention whore put his CD key in his video because he liked it enough he wanted his army of subscribers to go buy it
>NOW THE KID I USED TO BE IS HERE AGAIN TO TAKE MY CONTROL
>AND THE KID YOU USED TO BE IS ASKING ME WHERE IS MY FEARLESS SOUL
>IT'S ALRIGHT SOMEHOW I'LL FIND
>THE TREASURE WE WERE LOOKING FOR
Redpill me
yang can only lead battles, he can't lead a war let alone leading the whole FPA.
There's this game coming out next year: store.steampowered.com
>Ramming a Keto with a Castella
