I'd kinda agree with his statement, a lot of this makes sense if you kinda read between the lines from their 'see you soon bruce' video, and just what they've said when they get the chance to ramble. The issue was they were having him do work that had 0 to do with Funhaus or Inside Gamer.

I see streaming similar to being a freelancer. It seems all fun and games, set your own rules, etc, but unless you're some superstar everyone wants to work with/watch on stream, you'll be constantly stressing out, instead of having a 9-5, you have a 24/7. No benefits from working in a company, taxes are likely not too kind, etc. Hell, even Ninja had some interview where he said he could barely stop streaming just to have a nice breakfast since it meant losing subscribers.

That's bullshit PR he says to build his brand. I stream too, and though I absolutely admit the grind is real, you don't lose subscribers just for not streaming one day. You'll lose those subscribers regardless because most people use their prime sub and switch to a different streamer each month.

Not that I don't believe that it's a PR move of "work hard to follow your dreams" bullshit, but Ninja might be a different case when it comes to subscribers just due to him being top dog. I'm sure part of his off time is just checking analytics to see how to keep as many people around as possible. If there's a pattern for "lose X subs for X hours not streaming", it makes sense that he'd feel like he can't rest properly. I'm sure he's aware that this is a temporary thing, not a life time career. He has to milk it as much as possible.
