Twitter doesn't show actual popularity, it shows which fanbases are obnoxiously pushy- so it makes perfect sense that characters that appeal to spergs like shantae and sora topped it.

People on all three seem to just choose characters that they think have a chance rather than what they actually want. I doubt that many people have even played Shantae for her to be rated so high. I doubt anyone actually wants Byleth. I doubt Youkai Watch is that popular in Europe. People seem to just like bandwagoning. I never heard a single person even suggest Minecraft Steve until virginben suggested he might be in.

Considering this "Poll" is beig conducted based the number of times people mention these characters over actual popularity.
Its probably more Europeans being worried that Jibanyan gets chosen over Layton as the potential Level-5 rep over actual desire for the cat. Since Layton is far more popular in Europe than Yokai Watch.
