im probably the only fan who doesn't care for the fighting games
Nope, I liked Budokai, but Legacy of Goku 2 and Buu's Fury were basically the only DBZ games I loved.
I've never liked the boring fighters. BT3 and Budokai may be the only exceptions.

BASED
I remember playing this and got stuck on every fight Ginyu Force onward and could never figure out how to unlock Vegeta even though I really wanted to. Good times.
Am I the only one who really likes Budokai 2? It was like Mario Party, with fighting segments instead of minigames. Also probably inspired Dokkan.
ah nice, when i told my friends i have no interest in fighterz they lost their mind
Why would I have posted that if I didn't absolutely love it? It's still fun to spend a few hours playing the story on the highest difficulty every now and then.

This game doesn't get enough love. We got a colorful Dragon Ball game that doesn't get talked about enough.
Loved this shit and buus fury
Kino comfy fun
It just looks like a bloated version of Advanced Adventure, what is there to talk about?
Anyone else here cheesed the Imperfect Cell fight?
>health is low
>hide in the corner
>super namekian to regenerate
>go back to normal to replenish ki
>go back super namekian to regenerate more
I miss the Supersonic Warriors series.
Being able to do shit like kill Future Trunks as Frieza was GOAT.
The best DBZ game
Based
This and the even better sequel were comfy as fuck.
Nah, I'm right there with you. I have the unfortunate desire of wanting non fighting games of series that basically only have fighting games.
I prefer it. It fleshed out the fighting system from 1 without the dragon rush garbage from 3 or absurd difficulty of Infinite World. I think people just hated it cause they expected the Buu Saga to be animated like the first game's scenes and didn't get it. Only thing I really hate about it is every character still having the same battle stance.
The Teamfourstar guys did a playthrough where they did this for the Cyborg Tao fight. It was pretty funny.
it's bad enough that the threads on Yea Forums are pure cancer already, please leave it there
Is this a good game? I've only played Buu's Fury and it's pretty comfy. I remember playing some similiar game but it was hard as shit and I dropped it after like 10 minutes.
gameplay-wise i'd say it's better than buu's fury, but the artstyle makes it look like a bootleg copy from china. when i first played it i thought it was just that, so don't be put off by it. some story segments are also really strange and there is a lot more grinding to it than to buu's fury, but it's a nice game for gba.
>more grinding to it than to buu's fury
Ugh.
>tfw Bandai is too fucking lazy to ever do an OG DB game
Could we please stop having gorillions of games covering the same fucking arcs in Z over and over and over again?
it wasn't that bad in buu's fury since you could equip items that gave you better exp gain. especially the 100kt boots/gloves make levelling very trivial, but granted those only appear very late in the game. still, it was never an issue to me in this one.
It might not require that much time to accomplish the required level but it's still tedious as shit running back and forth smacking enemies.
>that music when you fuse into Vegito
It was pretty cool how they added some of the movie villains like Broly into the main story
Gogeta was fuckin rad
A shame they were never able to make a 4th game
I don't like how we can't stay with a single character for too long. Ironically I'd have much preferred a game where we play as Buu. The Buu arc was pretty much the adventures of Buu as he wrecks everyone one by one.
that game was absolute top fucking tier
i get you, the real problem was that a lot of the level gates had nothing interesting behind them, like the one in the final area for level 175. there wasn't even an exhibit if i recall correctly.
You could cheese pretty much everything in the game by standing next to a tree and punching. Enemies can't hit you while you can hit them.
This game made no fucking sense to me but I loved it. One of the first games I ever pirated I think.
I remember having to do this when fighting doctor gero in the mountain area. Nothing up to that point had wrecked my shit like he did
It was fucking great. You could let one of your characters die to Frieza so Goku could go Super Saiyan and then you had to fight Super Saiyan Vegeta at the end. You could also let yourself be withing a few hp of dying and then heal so you could get that sweet saiyan powerup boost, or find more Namekians for Piccolo to fuse with.
>the Super Saiyan Vegeta secret boss
could he defeat the one who was once Chuck in a one on one fight?
2 > 3 > 1
I had to savescum the fuck out of the Gohan and Cell fight because I didn't invest in Gohan at all. His dunk move was fucking awful.
Luckily the SS2 part is a cakewalk.
Still, BT3 is the best, and if you say it's overrated, RB2 has you covered
god this fucking game. I want to play it again but i don't remember the name.
Super Saiyan Densetsu
I remember having action figures and made them fight each other.
10/10 better than any DB fighting game ever released.
This, but also with Pizza Shooting Donatello in the group.
Remember kids, Cooler never jobs.
I made my Lego characters have DBZ fights over a model train set. Shit was so cash. My protagonist was a lifeguard with cool sunglasses and robotic legs which he used to perform dropkick kamehamehas on enemy heads. I still have him, he sits on a shelf in my living room these days.
Post fig, you homo.
i did the same thing, shit became a lot cooler when i had some bionicle figures too.
>gameplay-wise i'd say it's better than buu's fury
wut, it's just buu's fury but the RPG elements are basically nonexistent so all that's left is a simple rhythm game dressed up as combat system.
I had 5 Knex guys who could gattai into one bigger one and they had to fight really big bootleg Janemba.
Only good character in Super.
there's an action adventure game coming out though
Cool and radical. Is he manhandling a dragon?
Gyarados
There were also 2 games where you played as Goku throughout the entirety of BD and you had a sort of RPS type battle system where certain moves beat others. The story was just some portraits moving around and you got points if you did things according to the story like getting the mermaid to Roshi. The second game also had Gohan playable and you played BDZ up to Frieza and his theme was so fucking rad that they put it in Final Bout.
>a literal buttplug
the characters felt a lot more distinct and not just like generic saiyan with a kamehameha variation for an energy blast and the combat had SLIGHTLY more depth to it with the charged attacks.
Never liked the card games, dunno why
The only good DBZ games. Why do they insist on the shitty ones they've been rehashing for the last decade?
I wonder how many people played pic related.
