I just don't even know anymore you guys. I finally got around to learning E3S on my days off Monday/Tuesday and every night since then after work I've tried getting parties together to clear it and yet despite my 3 hours a day devoted solely to clearing the fight I have not been able to find a party that could do it. It's the same shit I dealt with when I was cleaning E2S, terrible dragoons and samurais putting up rdm-tier DPS and dying to obvious shit and now messing up smokers every time. I even had a MCH doing less than 10k, i mean yeah MCH isn't great but that's still totally unacceptable and i don't know how you even get to Levi putting up those numbers. Why does it have to be this way Yea Forums.

All the ranged DPS suck colossal dick right now. If your group cared about optimization enough to pressure you into switching, then they'd be telling you to go MNK/DRG/NIN.

How do you make friends in this game? I thought MMOs were supposed to be social experiences, but everyone just sticks to their own clique and plays it like a single player game.

That's not it user. I was progging E2S the first two weeks and it was a nightmare trying to clear even then. I didnt get the clear until week 3 because everyone in week 1 and 2 (E1S was a day-one clear) was so bad.

The secret to pugging is to do them asap after reset. The competent players will usually do their clears or help others out (if they don't mind losing chests) for the first 3 or so days. After that it's a shitstorm of desperate people trying to clear before the reset.

Gunbreaker is the most fin tank and the rest absolutely sucks to play.

An individual player has the ability to carry a groups DPS at week 6, you can even help carry them mechanically if you point out what mistakes the group is repeatedly failing at or which individuals are failing and help them understand the mechanic. If you have someone that just refuses to understand a mechanic or can't stop failing on P1 despite you doing the best to coach them then you can replace them.

Sure in a static it might be more awkward to replace the failing player but statics are even easier because you can literally call out mechanics so no one aside from you has to think, they know exactly what to do before it's even happened. Sure there's some content that is particularly difficult but it doesn't apply to this tier of Savage content.

in order of decreasing difficulty:
minimizing movement > flexible rotations that adjust to encounters> risky positionals/melee uptime > coordinated optimal healing > high apm push button on cooldown job > tank who positions boss optimally and mitigates well > retard proof "just pool your resources for burst bro" jobs > ooga booga overhealing > offtank

Monk typically crits more than SAM because you need less SS than SAM to play monk optimally (1015 vs. 1200ish) so you can stack more crit

The one thing that keeps me from leveling Blackmage is the "turret" concept.

BLM has a ton of tools for mobility now.
Triple Cast, Swiftcast, Aetherial Manipulation, Between the Lines, and Xenoglossy all make it really easy to maintain movement.

Yes, it has the longest cast time spell of any of the jobs (Fire 4 is >1 GCD in cast time), but it's still the most mobile because of thundercloud and xenoglossy

It has two instant movement skills, one of which is always going to be available at all times, having multiple charges of Polyglot plus Xenoglossy being a DPS gain no matter when you use it means that you basically have a 720 potency ruin 2 that stacks every 30 seconds. Plus you can weave during Xenoglossy so you can use Sharpcast and Triple/Swiftcast more effectively now which is even more free movement. Unlike RDM which is just shit out of luck if it has to move when it doesn't have dualcast or for 2 GCDs, or god forbid during its melee combo, or SMN who leaks potency every time they have to use ruin 2 since they can't conserve stacks of further ruin for movement due to it sharing a button with ruin 2. BLM can still potentially get fucked the hardest by movement but you have to be playing it really poorly in order for that to happen, unlike SMN which just straight up loses damage whenever it needs to move without further ruin stacks or RDM which can get fucked harder than monk if it's forced off the boss or needs to move at an inopportune moment.

Final boss is revived cyborg caim and angelus while a remix of fate - battle with caim plays as the theme

It's not awful you'll just have to do a raw DK once in a while if it's too high depending on the fight. It is a dead stat though and you don't want much more than 1015 if you can help it.

The raid will probably revolve around the machine lifeform obelisk landing on the first, and begin with it activating or being scryed into and transferring N2 into someone or something capable of using creation magic, which will devolve from a "retelling" of Automata from the machine POV (hence ooga booga 2P being framed as a boss fight in the reveal art) to revealing how the aliens actually died

The difficulty of healers is inversely related to the rest of the party's skill level.

The dps of a healer is proportional to the party's skill level, so it's practically impossible to gauge who is or isn't a good healer by logs alone. It has to be witnessed and judged.

The only thing SkS is going to do if you have bad uptime is make you lose slightly more DPS than you would if you had a better stat in its place when you lose uptime but substats, even on monk which has the most reliance on crits, still only equate to about 0.5-1% of your total DPS assuming equal item level. If you're having issues with uptime you need to better learn whether you should SSS or charge chakras when forced off for more than 1 GCD and how to dodge things without losing GCDs, or have your party adjust to better strategies for mechanics that might be forcing you off the boss (like the safe strat for Eden orbs)

Some jobs are 100% designed around double weaving and not being able to do it means you can't play the job properly. You can play it but you'll be fucking up constantly and doing significantly less damage than someone who can double weave.

You're hitting RoF too early in the GCD. You're probably losing a GCD in RoF because of that. you want to hit it when your GCD is about 1/3 finished, or as close as you can to your GCD finishing without it clipping the next GCD.
You want to hit TFC after Brotherhood instead of before it, since it does 5% more damage that way (you also need to avoid mashing TFC after Bhood or it might activate before snapshotting Bhood)
You use Twin Snakes twice in a row in your opener which is a huge DPS loss. Unless there was massive downtime between your last use of Twin Snakes you should never be using Twin Snakes twice in a row.
After that you do DK then immediately PB. You should be doing True Strike before that DK, then do a TS after the DK before using PB. You always want to use PB right after using TS or else you'll have to waste a PB GCD on TS or let it fall off.
You miss a shoulder tackle in the opener. You should use 1 on pull, then the second charge during RoF before entering PB. You can double weave TFC with it and clip if you have to. Clipping to weave in a TFC is always a DPS gain when Brotherhood is up and PB isn't up.
Demolish doesn't snapshot RoF in that parse because you didn't delay cast it. It's also wise to cast Demolish as your second PB GCD in the opener since that lines up better with raid buffs in a real fight in my experience (using it third PB GCD would make it miss litany, chain strat, and eye in my group).
You do a DK instead of Bootshine on your first coeurl GCD in your opener (you end PB with a DK, then do a raw DK, then DK again on the next opo-opo GCD you get). That's a huge DPS loss right there since bootshine is the biggest source of damage for monk now.
You delay Brotherhood slightly on your second use. It should always come out immediately after demolish, ideally immediately as it comes off CD to line it up properly.
You do 3 bootshines in a row during RoF which is a massive DPS loss since non-leaden Bootshines are worthless.

You also true strike 3 times in a row which means Twin Snakes is falling off for an extremely long time, which is a massive DPS loss.
You're missing your second Demolish in your second RoF. Every single RoF cast should snapshot two Demolish hits in it, even without PB. The demolish you do immediately after RoF doesn't have Twin Snakes or Brotherhood on it either. That demolish could have been done under RoF, Twin Snakes, and Bhood for ~260 more potency than doing it with no damage buffs up besides GL4.
You do another non-leaden Bootshine shortly after that RoF
You enter your second PB immediately after an Opo-Opo GCD, then start it with a twin snakes. You basically cut 1 GCD off your PB since that's the form you would have been in without PB anyway. You should try to enter PB on cooldown, but you should prioritize entering it after Twin Snakes over hitting it on CD if it would only mean delaying it by a second or two. Any time you cast Twin Snakes under PB you're losing a massive amount of damage since that's effectively 1 less leaden bootshine.
You do another non-leaden Bootshine immediately after that, then another one 3 GCDs later.
It looks like you're not hitting 6 GCD PB which you should be if you have high SS. Make sure you don't let the GCD clip at all while you're in PB even if it means delaying TFC under brotherhood.
You end the parse with a demolish instead of a snap punch. Demolish has to stay up long enough to hit 12s remaining to be DPS neutral over Snap Punch. If the fight is going to end or the boss is going to go invincible within 6s, you should do a snap instead of demolish.

No, this is just optimizing dps and a lot of it can be boiled down to "how much can I fit into my burst phases?"

Overall it looks like your biggest concern is that you don't really have the basics of the job down. You're using Anatman properly, but you're still messing up other parts of the rotation and losing a lot of leaden bootshines and Demolish uptime, which are your two most damaging skills. You should focus on practicing the opener more and knowing when you have leaden fist up or not so you aren't using non-leaden or raw bootshines. Additionally you're not using Shoulder Tackle properly. You should be using it on pull, then the second charge during your first Rof, then you should be doing 2 in every RoF after that and 1 in between each RoF after the second. ST should have more casts than Elixir Field, not less. You need to remember to enter PB after Twin Snakes and you should do a raw DK to delay your GCD a bit if you need to in order to line it up (it takes some practice to know how to do this but you'll get used to it after a while). You need to be using RoF and Brotherhood the moment they come off cooldown or as close to it as you can (the exception being when the rest of the group is holding buffs for better uptime or because of a phase transition). There are probably other things I missed because it's hard to keep track of everything on FFlogs' interface.
FFlogs doesn't show FoF being up because it's used prepull. It can't detect any buffs that were applied before the parse started.
Some of this is really basic stuff that even most casual monk mains would be able to tell you you're doing wrong like doing non-leaden bootshines or letting twin snakes fall off. I don't know what job you play but on jobs with maintenance buffs there's very little that loses you more DPS than letting those fall off.

Damage in this game is super scripted and not particularly intensive if you're a little proactive with your oGCDs. The only hitpoint that matters is the last, so if I know a HoT is going to cover the damage dealt until the next AoE, there's no rush to top people up.

Most DF healers I bump into are shitters that treat their cooldowns like emergency buttons instead of their first response.

I'd say SSD is a must in this game. I timed the loading screens between HDD and SSD and found a huge difference. Takes 25 seconds to load into Limsa on a 7200RPM WD HDD, meanwhile it takes only 4 seconds on a cheap Kingston Sata 3 SSD.

my problem with DPS is that they often come undergeared. like yesterday I had a summoner that was in Holminster Switch with a ilvl 290 weapon. You could get a ilvl 390 weapon with poetics or a ilvl 380 crafted weapon for dirt cheap.

WoW is an mmo. XIV is a singleplayer game with ocassional forced co-op. There is no threat to XIV or vice versa.
