nicknaming the low-key announcement of the upcoming mainline that will likely be using the extra developers HAL has been calling for as of recent - and how the announcement of Super Kirby Clash confirms it's likely a 2021 release. What do you expect this game to be about and how will it play?
Known facts: every game since Kirby Super Star Ultra, with the exception of Kirby's Epic Yarn, has incorporated something from the canceled Game Cube title in some form or another. Based on this, we can either expect the next game to do the same or reboot the franchise lightly in some fashion.
I simply can't imagine this cute borb speaking in his deep masculine voice.
Jack Nguyen
I expect them to bring something very fresh to the table... i dont think they'll go full on 3D and instead we might see a 2D gameplay that might look 3D similarly to Kirby 64, likely with a wholly new engine and a reboot of the abilities to update them to newer controls and make the older ones just as good and versatile as some of the newer ones.
Jace Wright
That's what's so hot about it, seeing such a strong and masculine figure giving into his desires becoming a filthy bitch is hot. God, I want to pin him down and gut punch him until he cries.
Sebastian James
Light reboot. Void is the culmination of the whole "everything is connected" theme that's been in every Kirby game since Return to Dream Land. It's time to start a new era of Kirby from square-one.
Josiah Rogers
lol keep dreaming it'll be the same lazy rehashed shit they've been pumping out they don't want to scare away the women and children audience
Jaxon Taylor
Agreed, they might even reboot the whole franchise to fit this star-wars-tier lore they're trying to create but this time from the start. I can place money and bet they'll rewrite the lore in the next installment that makes older games non-canon in many aspects or toss it in "another timeline/dimension" sort of thing, or just simply start anew and start the story already connected to the "ancients" and work from there.
We're most likely gonna get a 3D game at this point, I do want an open world Kirby game.
Eli Wood
>character action game *action game
Christian Hall
Probably something like Mario odessey but with combat-oriented gameplay instead of platforming... still a collectathon however. The bosses in Blowout Blast were a small taste of how intense and exciting 3D bosses could become (kracko comes to mind)
Luis Martin
hard pass. le epic open-world maymay has already ruined so many other beloved franchises.
Nolan Evans
They might pull off a gameplay style that is both, with controls like Battle Royale / Blowout Blast but feels better and switches between 2d and 3d depending on the part of the level. might allow for some really interesting level design that van get really vertical or have layers like never before.. basically reinvent the 2D formula in a way that makes for better gameplay, who knows.
I just hope it's something creative and ambitious. Something that tries something new from step one. Not just another standard romp using the same standard formula with a new feature/gimmicks.
simliar to what said? or do you think it'd have something a lot more unique going on
Evan Wood
How about instead of that, a full-on adventure game like OoT, Banjo-Kazooie, Super Mario Odyssey, etc
Daniel Murphy
Blowout Blast and Battle Royale being pilot experiments for a 3D mainline game makes too much sense to not have any truth behind it. I expect it won't simply be a standard Kirby game except in 3D, though. I think both and might be on the right track, either a game focused on combat and deep movesets for abilities, or a game with open-ish level design with huge worlds packed with content, or maybe both of those things at the same time, would be great and make a lot of sense.
Brayden Jackson
ok, susie
Josiah Foster
Unironically just want a 3d anime.
Camden Phillips
Hey there's nothing wrong with that, don't think you wouldn't do the same.
Wyatt Parker
Pretty much what he said, HAL will want to keep doing multiplayer too which works great in that style. I just hope that with the transition to a new gameplay style doesn't stick us with the safest set pieces and bosses in order to get it right the first time
Aiden Rogers
I think Battle Royale successfully implemented abilities in 3D using the same control scheme as Blowout Blast, although a lot rougher. But they didn't want to make a big game yet made sure there was value for the 40 bucks it costed; hence online and being based around fighting so that there isn't worlds and levels. I think they are 100% pilot games for a 3D game because there is no reason they'd publish games like this being low-budget.
And heck, if the next game even has online co-op, that'd be rad. There's TWO online Kirby games now. You told me this in 2010 and I'd be surprised.
Remember when Kirby games were platformers and not glorified beat em ups?
Camden Clark
even when they were "platformers', they were about avoiding/beating up enemies. and flight meant there was never any real platforming.
Ian Perry
Redpill me on Kirby. why is he so cute?
Adam Parker
After the final update to Star Allies, HAL went on record saying that the next mainline Kirby game would be the first in the "next era" of Kirby. So we're definitely (hopefully) getting something that's more than just a RtDL remix like the past 3 games have been.
Also >Super Kirby Clash (((confirms))) it's likely a 2021 release Do you really expect SKC to last two whole years? People will be done with it in a half. We get a new Kirby game (mainline or not) every year, so what will next year's game be?
Sebastian Cooper
So Crash Bandicoot:Kirby edition?
Nathan Nelson
The release is based on the fact that Clash is the late 2019 release, and the announcement for the next mainline is likely somewhere around summer atumn 2020 like the usual. the soonest the next mainline can appear is either holiday season 2020 or early 2021.
Matthew Murphy
Did you finish Super Kirby Clash? Another Dimension now has a section called The Dreamscape, which is likely where Nightmare is from. Meaning Nightmare is now "connected" to Another Dimension.
William Thompson
That's just so not-HAL though. They jerk off to almost every Kirby game IN every Kirby game. They'll find a way to roll everything into the same lore, no matter how convoluted it may become (like all these Parallel fuckers).
Jack Mitchell
3D game seems to be the obvious step forward for the franchise. Star Allies felt like a celebration of the series so far and the developers explicitly said they're thinking about the next phase. Don't know what else they could do with simple 2D.
Connor Campbell
Sounds reasonable, but we're definitely getting another spin-off before its release then. I hope it's something interesting like 3D Blast or TKCD/SKC's lategame.
Andrew King
I will be surprised if we DONT get HD Super Blowout Blast considering Super Kirby Clash
Brayden Cook
Think about it, TD and PR were all about involving 3D space in 2D gameplay, then we got 3D Blast with full-on 3D movement and gameplay, followed by BR with more 3D movement and gameplay, and then finally Star Allies with a 3D overworld map and 3D final boss. We're definitely getting our long-awaited 3D Kirby game soon.
Angel Collins
Full 3D Kirby game with the Robobot Armor
Bentley Nelson
SKC is unique though because it's free-to-play. It might just have been re-released to make a quick buck. BB wouldn't do the same.
John Garcia
With the Animal Friends
Christopher Lopez
People who want to fuck the borb are probably the type of people you can avoid by going outside
Adrian Taylor
true. considering you can beat the whole game without paying so easily, it might have just been a product made out of training new employees and released to appease us until the next mainline, which might be out around the turn of 2021 or slightly later.
Austin Walker

Carter Robinson
Probably. Also it seems to me like SKC is kind of an excuse for HAL to give us lore intended for Star Allies that they didn't have the time to implement. Aeon Hero is straight outta Soul Melter EX, like fuck man.
Angel Morris
I was playing whichever Kirby platformer it is that they have on the NES online service the other day, being fairly virginal to Kirby I might add, and I was kind of stunned by the quality of the spriting. It was actually inventive and pretty. What a comfy game.
Xavier Brown
Can we all agree that the Mirror World is connected to Another Dimension? It's literally the only explanation as to how the Mirror character can keep showing up now that both Mirror Portals are destroyed, and we see King D-Mind appear out of an Another Dimension portal.
Nathaniel Long
Make sure to play Dreamland 3, they have it on the SNES Switch service. It's an amazing looking game and one of my favorite Kirby games.
Colton Bailey
Seeing the Dreamscape in Another Dimension makes so much sense with how the Ancients were the ones who created the Fountains of Dreams in Kirby's galaxy. But like, why did they do that in the first place?
Kevin Peterson
probably just referential stuff to nightmare being adventure character
Colton Ross
What's the deal with Aeon Hero? Why does the Dark version chuck heart spears at you?
Elijah Carter
Star Allies implied that Galacta Knight was an ancient hero, who joined with 3 other heroes to seal away Void using the heart spears. So him using heart spears fits.
One of those other knights is likely Morpho Knight, whom we're told used to be a good guy who later got corrupted. And now we see Galacta Knight being corrupted by Void power, so it is likely they all got corrupted by it.
Jaxon Perez
Team kirby clash is not canon Galacta knight is not canon

>Meta Knight God, the things I would do to this borb. I want to break this Knight, I want to ruin him, to see his broken face would bring me a greater pleasure more than anything in this world. Imagine it, earning Meta Knight's trust and getting close to him to the point where he can confide in you, only to rip off that stupid mask and punch him in the gut. The shock would hit him like a bolt of lightning, seeing his eyes widen as he lets out a pained, sharp gasp. God and his face, the tears that would start to well as he tries to put up a brave face, but you wouldn't stop you'd grab him harshly and put everything you have into the next punch; ramming your large fist into his 8 inch frame, this time he wouldn't even try to hold anything back. He'd yell, a sickly one mixed between pain and pleasure as a mix of drool and bile spills out of his mouth. His face is a mess at this point, wet with a mix of tears from crying and sweat from hyperventilating and struggling in your grasp. Meta Knight would beg inbetween sobs to stop, to be let go, or why you're doing this but you wouldn't listen, you'd turn him around and hold him up by his fragile wings, causing him excruciating pain, and rear up another punch. This time you'd put your all into this one, lettting gravity take care of the orb in front of you. After throwing that final punch you'd probably break his wings rendering him unable to fly. He'd lay there on the floor sobbing in pain while releasing his entire stomach onto the clean floors staining it with bile and blood. That's how I'd break him...physically of course. God, I love Meta Knight but Kirby on the other hand...
I wish HAL would just stop making up so many dumb prefixes to all their clone characters. Black Dedede (JP), Dark Meta Knight, Shadow Kirby, and now the Parallels (who aren't even a group). Just scrap them all and use either Mirror or Another god damnit.
William Bailey
What's the best team setup to beat King D-Mind?

You...sick fuck. I'm gonna draw this when I get back home from school.
