I dunno, going in to it blind and knowing its reputation beforehand, I kinda liked XIII? at the very least I preferred the Command Synergy Battle system than X's pure turn-based. I did play a bit of X-2 and I loved the gameplay more than X but I kinda got fatigue due to the costume transitions.

Ah, well I personally liked X's system more since it had more depth, more complexity, more potential, better boss fights, better enemies, better balance, better customization, and swapping party members was better than the most barebones and casualized version of the job system in existence. I'm not a big fan of ATB though and consider it the absolute worst form of turn-based combat to ever exist. Even FF1's hacked-together combat system had more potential than ATB, which is just turn-based but bad.

7 and 10 are the only ones worth playing. I beat XV recently and I regret not listening to Yea Forums even after the updates it's just not good.

6 is basically the same shit as 7 and 5 is better than any of those though. Also 9 is good if you play the PC version or an emulator.

Yeah. I kinda agree with this. I guess it's kinda hard to find a voice that fits her. The ending is pretty insulting, but if you've made it as far as you are and the game hasn't soured on you, it probably won't change your mind. So to answer your question from the OP, either jump straight into XIII's sequels, or play FFV and VI.

Personally the ending of FF7 was a bit anticlimactic though visually impressive. I guess I'll have to be surprised for XIII.

XIII-2's port has two problems - uneven frame pacing leading to weird framerate problems and rain effects being weirdly low-res and scuffed. Everything else works as intended.

WoFF is pretty good. Go for it! I would recommend 4 Heroes of Light if you have DS/3DS
