Is there even a single fucking game (arcade or sim or something in between) that lets you fly a B-2 bomber?

Is there even a single fucking game (arcade or sim or something in between) that lets you fly a B-2 bomber?

They look cool as fuck, like a fucking UFO, I want to fly one

Would probably be very boring.

It's not a UFO if you can identify what it is

not if its like a mod for a game where combat isn't so boring

Im pretty sure that Warthunder is even the only game that lets you fly a pure bomber at all. It sucks. I want videogames with just bombing dudes.

Also a B-1 is fine too, same question as OP, I can't think of any games with these planes you can fly

I actually find it fun and I cream my pants every time I line up my sights with the ground

and then you get swarmed by every fighter nigger in a 10 mile radius - including those who were sideclimbing, as soon as they spotted your red nametag

fun

Flying bombers is comfy (for the pilots at least)

Ace Combat: Infinity let you do it but the game was a bad freemium game and thankfully it's dead and gone. The bombers had some great niche use on the naval fleet vs mode when they first came out.

>oh fuck our fleet completely melted what happened nothing's on radar

Ace Combat Infinity RIP let you casually fly both of these in multiplayer

>PS3/4 only

well shit, it was never an option for me anyways

What we really need is a new modern Battlefield game that lets you fucking fly and sail all the new modern shit like Battlefield 1942 let you

Attached: 1390235248030.jpg (2008x1335, 1.63M)

Yeah it looks comfy as fuck, especially when your flight ceiling is 50,000 ft like the B-2 - few manned airplanes are above you at that altitude, they also have it extra comfy because they take off from the US mainland, fly over to Bumbfuckistan drop their payloads and then fly back home next day.

Never even heard of that.

I need a time machine so I can back into the time when ice combat affinity was around still and get an xbox and play it

Civilization and Rise of Nations, kinda.

You wake up from a loud droning noise coming from the sky. It's dark out, but your clocks says it's 9 AM. What's going on? Suddenly, everything around you starts exploding. Holy shit. The sky is raining bombs. Your final thought is that it isn't the sky at all. It's a massive sheet of a billion B2 bombers flying in formation, blotting out the sun.

It was PS3 only

Jane's ATF

Suddenly elation turns to suspicion as you remember theres only 21 B-2 Spirit's in existence due to mounting budgetary constraints on the USAF by Congress

Depressed and dejected you wake up and find the sky clear, bright, depressingly sunny, as you lament the fact that there is no giant fleet of B-2's blotting out the sun

Then you remember the USAF wants to acquire at least 100 B-21 Raiders and the thought fills you with joy that perhaps one day, the dream may become reality

You post a smug Sachiko pic

Actually, how's the new Ace Combat on PC? I haven't looked into it at all, but I loved jet games as a kid. Is there enough plane variety?

It's great and just like the ps2 games. Also it has 30 planes not counting DLC fighters

Attached: jet bullets can melt steel beams.webm (1024x576, 2.92M)

Theres no B-2 or B-1

We need a bomber focused Ace Combat like game, fuck, imagine doing bombing runs and shit, high altitude bombing, low altitude, fast bombing runs

Squad of your fellow bombers, that whole Ace Combat feel

Attached: 1376263154436.jpg (3000x2055, 1.12M)

are there any dedicated bombers though or at least bombing loadouts?

Only have 1 Special Weapon really limits what you can do. You're also limited to 2 or 1 shot before your SP weapon goes into cooldown, even if your plane has every hardpoint loaded with ordnance.
AC7's mission design also really fucks you if you take dedicated attackers into certain missions. Bunker Shot being the most egregious.

If you want an AC game where you can bomb the fuck out of things play/emulate 4 and 0.

Remind me, they replace the missiles with more bombs, but they had machine guns added?

Disappointing. I used to play the fuck out of Falcon 16 and that came with like 200 pages of bomb ordenance and flight paths.

no MGs, just about 400 bombs and a ton of armor

Can Americans ever do something original?

Attached: Shot-2014.07.01-18.48.04.jpg (1920x1080, 359K)

They can make it stealthy, and actually produce more than one or two prototypes that never saw combat

>can be detect by quantum radar
Not implessive.

Bombers are an outdated concept much like the half track

ah yes super sekret chinese quantum radar

Attached: 1528569304386.jpg (1080x1080, 529K)

>comparing bombers to half tracks

Can germans?

Attached: US_army_Burgess-Dunne_plane.jpg (666x463, 93K)

That's like saying a tactical team shooter like counterstrike is outdated because of the success of Fortnite. Bombers are still cool as fuck.

The 229 was already stealthy, and was being tested near the end of the war, so it never got a chance to be mass produced.
I'm American myself, and I prefer the Gotha 229 over the B-2, or any American flying wing for that matter.

Ace Combat is an arcade game. If you want something more complex, find a sim. You can fly the SU-25T in DCS for free.

The Ho-229 actually wasn't stealthy, that was a misconception birthed by a history channel special that created a plywood mockup and found that plywood is stealthier than metal

The flying wing shape is inherently stealthy though, but the HO229 wasn't the first flying wing.

But isn't the point of stealth to not be identifiable?

Not looking for a sim, but Ace Combat Infinity looked fucking dope

The point of stealth is to be stealthy, you can't by definition be stealthy if you are unidentifiable as by that point you have lost stealth

Stealth just means it takes longer to detect, not that it isn't detectable at all.

>half-tracks
>outdated

enjoy your inferior troop carrying capacity.

You need to be deported.

Yes, I already knew it wasn't designed to be stealthy, but it inherently was by the reasons you stated.

Well yeah, but saying a B2 is a knock off because the HO229 is a jet powered flying wing is very silly

One is a purpose built stealth bomber, the other is just a jet fighter

In ACI, most aircraft had 1) all-purpose missiles, 2) a special weapon (the player chooses 1 out of 3 options for this slot in the loadout screen) which is usually a special type of anti-air or anti-ground missile or bomb, and 3) a machine gun. The B1 and B2 bombers had 1) a high-damage guided bomb in place of normal missiles 2) a choice of high-damage unguided bombs, high-damage bomblet dispensers, or high-damage long-range anti-ground missiles, and 3) no machine gun at all. This means that while they could deal tons of damage against ground targets, they had no way of taking down air targets (normal anti-ground Attacker aircraft still had a machine gun and all-purpose missiles), unless they were still on the runway or were a large target like Moby Dick which you could directly drop bombs on.

I never said it was a knockoff though, just that I like the HO 229 better.

"Can americans ever do something original?"

well yes a stealth flying wing bomber is entirely original

>implying you must be blindly patriotic and like only American products if you're American
I also think the Spitfire looks a lot better than the Mustang.

Ace Combat Assault Horizon had one bombing mission and it was probably the best mission in the entire game.
It wasn't even that good

Corsair and hellcat > anything on eurofront

Attached: F4U.jpg (1152x864, 393K)

That wasn't me, user. I was only defending the 229.

DFM was fun and I wish they implement it again.
There, I said it.

Lordy

I always did like those bent wings. My favorite American fighter though is the P-38.

Attached: P-38 Lightning.jpg (640x300, 32K)

the 30th anniversary for the B-2 wasn't too long ago

why wings bendy?

my nigga, that shit was my jam with a Sidewinder 3D

Not really talking about stealth bombers, but flying wing planes are sick looking.

Attached: axis_jet_fighter_highpoly_by_panick-d7kipht.jpg (1700x882, 500K)

i was a crew chief on the b2

it was alright

It was PS3 only, not on xbox. Also, no you don't want to do that, AC:I was a horrible grindy mobage. If you didn't want to be bottom bitch every game you had to farm credits to upgrade your planes, and the number of times you can grind is finite and recharges one game every 4 hour, unless you pay of course.

You could get into flight sims, but that's a road you don't wanna take.

Sly Odyssey for the PS2.

civilian flight simulators will give you the distance and sense of travel (and real time weather) but you loose all weapons/explosions, and combat.
picrelated took OVER FIVE HOURS not including planning, mostly of flying straight. Managing engines, navigation, fuel use, and the old ass autopilot. After turning back from the target I sprung a hydraulic leak and was loosing fluid all the way back to the UK.

I would love to do USA-Middle Ease-USA sortie, but there really aren't good long range bombers in civsims and that's a LONG LONG LONG fucking flight

>that's a road you don't wanna take

That's a paid mod for Microsoft Flight Simulator X (2006).
Here's another WW2 era bomber.
