At least the game's combat mechanic has some merit and you don't have to take the game so seriously. Compare to a game that the producer literally created a new "genre" just to make it stand out while being a freaking walking simulator filled to the brim with actors with a plot so hard to grasp that even the translator for kojima at gamescom repeated the same thing to explain the game.

DS isn't the first strand game
the souls games and even the upcoming pokemon games have the multiplayer elements that kojimbo uses to define his "new" genre

Souls games are in the soulsborne not strand genre of games.
