I did it lads.
I fucking did it.
and my Makoto broke mid-fight, turning it into a 25 minute slog
Demon’s Souls general?

Demon's souls arcade-like levels have always been and will always be better than dark souls' metroid style levels.
open world memery a shit.
Its the only modern From game I havent played. How the fuck is there still no ps4/pc/switch port even now? Hows emulation for it?
still my favorite vs knight guy boss fight. you can see this guy's DNA in every boss like him in later games all the way up to das3.
>How the fuck is there still no ps4/pc/switch port even now?
Licensing hell.
>20% health
>spirit-bombs 7 times in a row
This was more of an endurance battle than anything else. Once you rain out of patience and got too close/greedy you were finished.
Only did two playthroughs myself, one right before they took the servers down. There's a hell of a lot of passion in the game, even if its systems are arguably worse than other Souls.
Last I saw emulation was fucking great for DeS.
All the online elements are gone though. No bloodstains, ghost, or messages.
never needing to back track is definitely a plus.
Downloading it right now. I'm about to finish DS3 with only NK and Midir left because how the fuck do people even find these bosses, I dont have time to hit every wall in the game.
if there's no online features then how does the world tendensy works? iirc there was equipment and stuff that was only obtainable on either pure white or pure black world
My PS3 bricked last year before I could finish it. I remember liking how summon signs had a bunch of stats to them.
More than anything, and I'm gonna be called especially pretentious since I never finished it, DeS has such a charm and atmosphere that NONE of the other Souls games captured. Haven't touched Bloodborne yet, but holy fuck. There is something truly ineffable about Demon's Souls. I love what little time I spent with it, and I cannot wait to get back to it.
You can affect WT on your own, it's just way more tedious. The only way you can get pure white is to defeat three bosses in one area without dying in body form in that area. You can easily shift to pure black by repeatedly killing yourself in body form though.
>He charges up his huge AOE
>It's in an awkward spot where you can't back away, but it's just too far to run past
NOOOOOO
After playing Dark Souls 3, then Demon Souls afterwards, it feels like Dark Souls 3 is more or less a remake of Demon Souls. This leads me to believe there will never be a demon souls remaster since they half remade the experience in DS3.
lol just block it with this bro
It has a different kind of charm, but the same level of charm as DS1 and BB imo.
Demon Souls is a sad, depressed world. Similar to DS1, but different. Demon Souls feels like what DS3 wanted to be. A dead world, with only remnants left.
Bloodborne's atmosphere is it's high point. It's this palpable struggle and trying against all overwhelming odds. DS1 got these both, where as BB and DeS excelled in one or the other. A dying, near abandoned world trying its best to survive against the nature of life and the universe itself.
just got this game yesterday and beat the boss from the boletarian palace. should i go to the next world or fight the tower knight next?
I beat him on my first try. I'm just better than most people at predicting movements and acting accordingly.
you could but you will probably be underleveled, and after you beat him you need a key you get in other world to proceed.
While doable, its more balanced if you do the first boss in other worlds first
More importantly if you are a priest, then you want to explore the poison swamp for priest related stuff
If you are a mage, the tower of adria / stormkeep or whatever its called for mage related stuff.
Keep going. I don’t think you’ll be able to get past 1-3 though. That’ll tell you to move on to world’s 2 then 3
I think Dark Souls III would have been the GOAT of Soulsbornekiro if the High Wall, Undead Settlement, Road of Sacrifices, and Catacombs were available from the start DeS style.
What killed it for me was in DES you are killing more or less living things that have been soul sucked. In DS3 everyone is fucking dead already and 90% of the enemies are undead humanoids. I was falling asleep in those maps your mentioned. The later game really picked up for me though.
