to hack it and play any 3ds game you want while being comfy in bed

The best kirby games and luigis mansion 2

if you have cash to spare, maybe

i just did. new 3ds mario model with face plates. ive got manlet hands, so i dont XLs. also a massive xenoblade fan so i can put the monado plates on it. i had a base 2ds, but its starting to go after years of smash 4 destroying the stick integrity.

Easy piracy of 3DS games.

is it worth the library tho?

mostly jrpgs, similar to the vita. i think it has a monster hunter game that people like if you are into that.

Get a New 2DS XL or whatever the newest 2DS model is

There are plenty of worthwhile 3DS games. Just to name few off the top of my head

Metroid Samus Returns
Animal Crossing New Leaf
The Legend of Zelda A Link Between Worlds
Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse
Fire Emblem Awakening
Super Smash Bros
Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance
Super Mario 3D Land
Kirby Planet Robobot
Azure Striker Gunvolt

Some of the eShop games were great
>Liberation Maiden
>MSF!
>Pocket Card Jockey
I also enjoyed Attack of The Friday Monsters, but the gameplay felt light.

>Super Smash Bros
>3DS

If you never had it? For the best handheld library ever.

No. It's being replaced by the Nintendo Switch Lite.

if you have a good enough computer, no, emulators have gotten pretty damn good now

If you've never had one and never played any 3ds games? Yeah. It's insanely easy to hack and the library is filled with great games. I got one for my wife a year ago and she loves it.

Is the citra 3ds still ashitty emulator/

>he hasn't played all three dillon games yet

it can run a lot of stuff now

>Animal Crossing
>Smash on 3DS
>Kingdom Hearts
>Inticreates games

It really isn't a good library
Every time I think about getting a 3DS, I just decide to buy more DS games instead

You have to decide that.

Let me make a flowchart
>Do you want to play the games officially?
If no, get a 3DS as it's easily hackable.
If yes, continue below
>Do you want to play GBA as well as DS games, and get the console at an affordable price?
If yes, get a used DS Lite if the 3DS games themselves aren't your real interest.
If no
>Do you want to play mostly RPGs?
If yes, get the New 3DS as it has one extra RPG in Xenoblade Chronicles 3D.
If no, get a normal 3DS.
One last question
>Do you want to play Guitar Hero
If yes, get a DS Lite.

>not liking inticreates
fucking retard

did the second mega man legacy collection come to 3ds? i had the golden amiibo edition of the first one, had a good time with it

Show off your DS desu

how can I when I haven't played them

Easy to hack and shit ton of great games. If you can stomach shit resolution, you can play many great games.

I have an OG 3ds, not the new 3ds. I'd personally say I use my vita more often than my 3ds. I got a wii u for next to nothing which is used for regular ds games. The vita also has the added benefit of being able to be used as an extra ps4 controller which can make little big planet fun for couch co-op. Honestly any of the somewhat modern handhelds is a really good deal

Is Etrian Odyssey Nexus good

yes and no. have you already played all of the others? because it is a copy / paste of alot of old dungeons into one game, kind of like a last hurrah for the series as the 3ds dies. wasnt bad, and might be good if you havent played one since it hits highlights from each title

>Is it worth buying a 3ds in 2019?
yes
>Why?
Once hacked it becomes an absolute monster, DS, GBA, NES and 3DS games all in a single system, get a new 2DS and hack it.

yes and you can even play the translated rocket slime 3ds now

i bought mine like 3 years ago and only have 3 games for it. fuckin useless.

real shit? that would make my fucking year, holy shit i need to send my 3ds out for repair

which kind of games do you like user?

Yup, once you homebrew that shit, it becomes an emulating machine, I'm still crossing my fingers to see the PS1 emulator runing smoothly and to see the Twilight Menu ++ running all DS games.

cant the console natively run DS games just by popping them in? why not just get an R4?

You're right, I'm just too much of a cheapstake to get one.

neat, anyone know how to set this up in citra?

not sure if Citra has its own patcher for that type of update

in the thread for the translation people said they got it working but didn't say how

yeah
it's a neat ystem.

Can you get 16:10 resolution with flashcarts?

Why would anyone buy a 3ds when an emulator delivers better resolutions and better graphics? Dumb peasants.

Emulating systems with gimmicks like the 3ds will always be an inferior experience
More so because 3ds is portable

have fun playing kid icarus uprising on that shit

I like mine. Just bought a 2ds xl NEW. It has an awesome battery life and is good on long flights when you're away from home. Easy to back and with the right card you can play the whole ds library too along with a lot of emulators.

>portable

Who the fuck wants to play outside their house?

Also if you want 3d you can get a 3d monitor with or without a touchscreen.

>Is it worth buying a 3ds in 2019? Why?
Between its own library and the DS it has a shitton of good games. And it's hackable regardless of model, unlike Switch.

here's a copy

That's cute DS Lite. I wish I haven't broken mine...
At least they are cheap in Ebay now.

thanks bruv

for me its playing on the shitter, or in bed. cant really do that with my desktop

Yes.
>20 classes means a ton of bonkers party setups
>older classes like Imperial and Shogun come back, balanced for the entire game
>So many labyrinths
>new bosses are fun, and old ones have new mechanics
>Farmer is back

As for the bad:
>most new labyrinths have the same environment and music, which gets old fast
>some strata come back that no one wanted back
>new boss setups fall off toward the end of the main game
>Yggdroid is not back
>EO3U never

Also you can grind THAT quest for easy exp.

the dlc shit? ruins the game if you do, what is the point if thats how you go about it

Someone recommend me some good more obscure jrpgs I probably haven't played yet

i just bought strange journey 3ds version, thats kinda obscure in the west atleast

Persona q2?

I wish gbarunner2 worked so I could get a DSi
