Is Rex/pyra/Rex&Pyra literally a matter of time? I mean, they are one of the character the specifically gave an excuse not to be in the main roster. AFAIK there is no other character Sakurai has mentioned he was interested in putting inside the game.
My fair guess is that since Rex and Pyra have that weird synergy thing its taking long time to figure out how to translate into the game, since we all know Sakurai is a sucker for making sure every movement represents something from the original game.
If that is true we can expect him to be the final DLC or one of the early DLC outside of fighter pass.
