CASUALS = HERETICS
BURN, BURN THEM ALL!
"Halo" would be a better series without the super secret forerunner tech/anti-climatic flood shit and just the UNSC v. Covenant gameplay
the covenant would just stomp the humans though. there would be no reason, writing wise to have the humans bounce back.
The Flood worked really well in HaloCE, I think.
Sure, some sections were just fuckawful-long for no reasons but it was a nice change of pace. I don't remember much about Halo 2, but I know I absolutely hated to hell and back every Flood sections in Halo 3.
you wanna know how i know youre probably an obese brute without a job?
It was fine with both of them, but they shouldn't have become main focuses. Shit like gravemind was a huge mistake. It should have ultimately been about humanities struggle against genocidal alien zealots, not about stopping some not-a-metroid threat. If anything, it would have been more interesting if they intentionally released and weaponized the flood.
I meant more if they just did prequels set during the 2540s or something
where you're leading a Marine or ODST squad through a covenant invasion of some rando UNSC colony world securing objectives but ultimately still losing
That sounds more like what an Unggoy would say.
oh. well then yeah. the forerunner stuff was meant to have a significant place in the games, but only as a setting and not the whole plot. thats why the current reclaimer shit falls apart, the forerunners were never meant to be this way so turning them into it doesnt work.
Halo CE in general does the Halo/Forerunner/Flood stuff well, it's all new and interesting
Halo 2 brought the series higher quality cutscenes and a more cinematic story experience in addition to a bit more dynamic tactical approaches to gameplay
Halo 3 was just rehashing stuff, found the campaign really boring
I think people wanted Halo 3 to be grand because Halo 2 ended so abruptly.. and we had to wait 3 years to see where it would go.
Halo 3 also (mostly) did a good job at expanding on the multiplayer. The region where it lack in MP are the maps. Halo 2 had better maps. But Halo 3 had a better way of connecting the community with forge, theater mode, and it was integrated with Xbox 360 dashboard - which Halo 2/original Xbox Live lacked.
Still at the end of the day the original trilogy is better than anything to come after it in the franchise.
The implication was that humans held their own on the ground, but the endless fleets of giant advanced spaceships always doomed them in the end. The entire story could just be humans hijacking deadly covenant tech and ships to survive and eventually triumph.
What would you have your arbiter do, Yea Forums?
Introduce us to your females
brutes have stinky fur
thats fucking dumb
THE KIG-YAR SHAT IN THE FOOD NIPPLE AGAIN
NO GRUNTBROS ITS NOT FAIR
>the brutes do it for free
OH NO NO NO
The Covenant would just start their own version of the Cole Protocol if humans started jacking their ships though. Probably force Engineers to initiate a ship self destruct if humans appeared to be taking control of the ship
