back in the day he had more defined character that suported a lil bit generic look, NuMan 47 is kinda plain, and these games are fun sandboxes but lack atmosphere, a lil bit of dark and creepy tones and weird backstory with crazy scientist, genetic superhumans chasing 47, bond villains etc.

Exactly, the later games might be better mechanically, especially BM and TM, but they missed that unique feel of those early games. Especially Blood Money, where all levels take place in the US while first games had more varied locations. The first game might be really dated by today's standards with shitty art and voice acting and there is weird AI and bugs with some really hard levels but the good ones still hold up.
And I just love the eerie electronic music from those games, more enjoyable for me than the orchestral pieces.
