I'm really looking forward to it but the main problem I have with the game it's the graphic difference between the scenario and the characters.

Project G.E. are used to anime style, and the G.E. with the lower poly characters didn't clash with the not-very-much-detailed scenarios.

But with this game...it's just Dark Souls 3 scenarios with GE3 character models and it's a little...off putting.

Yeah, pretty good if you equip the right blood code (Ranger and Aset). There's a blood veil that makes dodging with a bayonet all sparkly and it covers more distance with more i-frames. Bonus that it's probably the coolest blood veil in the demo. The projectiles are still underwhelming though.

That's weird to me because it seems like the companion just doesn't draw aggro unless you completely stop attacking for a good 5 seconds.
In the demo, no. As far as I've heard though, different bayonets have different attacks, so I'm looking forward to any slow-firing one that hits like a nuke.

I went to the "Den of Darkness" and beat the 2 bosses and got the 2 keys, then I beat the Queen's Knight or whatever it was called.

This is sort of the "second" demo. Many months ago there was a server stress test and the release was actually delayed so the devs could adjust things to player feedback.

I think the idea is that you should only mostly use healing outside of fights. It also might be skewed because Regeneration is at its base strength in the demo and I feel like the enemies in the Den of Darkness are tougher than what we'll face right after the tutorial in the main game.

I was able to beat the boss at level 18 with a broadsword +2, I'm not sure how good or bad that is but I did no farming whatsoever. I had a bit of bother but just learn his pattern and get used to how long it takes you to use healing etc and it's fine.

Well, you can change your "class" on the fly and master spells for unlocking them in different classes, you can replenish your "mana" by being aggressive, defying limited spell and ability casting. It's not like we got that much moments to see it, but the way they went at the guards and then backed up when they used Io as hostage was pretty faggy. and just getting booted into the cave instead of just going in. Also we already know our goal is basically saving the world, not exactly a edgy vampire thing to do.

Io is pretty core to the story and cares for you, but I understand. Souls isn't well known for it's moral choices outside of the ending, though, and even those are ambiguous

I played the demo and other than the fact you cannot change the camera into first person (So I can stare at NPC feet), it is quite good and I am definitely buying it. The soundtrack is fan fucking tastic.

Night Claw isn't that bad on Aset, it's the only code+veil combo to use the zweihander with normal speed and combine it with the guard gift to remove chip damage from all physical attacks. Queen Knight's spin is pretty much a free opener due to that.

Strange, its quite the opposite for me.
Anyway when you feel there is an opening (common enemies) use the R1 x after an attack for a drain attack: it deals a lot of damage.
Try to go for an enemy's back and use a light attack more often: it will trigger a drain again for huge damage.
Basically use more drain attacks than normal ones if you need damage without consuming Ichor.
Also the hitboxes can be kinda glitchy sometimes.

The fuck, I didn't even know that. It's been just doing regular ol' light attacks for me. Is there a specific input that does it? I've done it on accident plenty of times.

The window for it is really finnicky on everything but the dregs. Like for the fat chicks you actually want to be standing slightly to the right, or for the big squid looking dudes you want to be almost squarely behind them but not too close. I get the feeling a lot of it is based on what direction the game thinks they're facing and bases it on where their hips or feet are pointing or something.

Square on enemies back. Positioning for it to trigger is a little janky since the enemy will move and try to face you.

So it seems like you want to constantly be switching blood codes to max out proficiency, right? If you're trying to play a specific build (ranged for instance), should you ignore melee codes or just pick and choose?

I tried the demo on PS4 and I was actually pleasantly surprised by how good it was. I didn't think that it would be much more than a generic Souls clone with no inherent quality or values to it but it's actually its own thing. I might just have to get this.
