The dungeons in TMS have one or two big puzzles to break the monotony and don't contain as much floors.
Persona dungeons try too hard to be epic and are just long (and stylish by P5) corridors full of boredom. But P5 does have stealth so there's that.
As for the battles, TMS's FFX-like system respects the player's time much more than P5's slogfest. While they both take long (though there's Quick Sessions now so that's a plus) at least the length of time is supplicated by long combos that deal more damage instead of becoming a sitting duck because there's more enemies than party members to which you have no choice but to take hits.

The photographer doing the photo shoot didnt feel like she was anything special, and also happened to be Maiko's photographer when she used to model of her busty body. Girls start disappearing, who just happened to have photo shoots with the same guy. When shit hits the fan, he kidnaps Maiko because she was the only chick who was the best model. Its the same dungeon, the small posters of bikini girls in 2-3 hallways were changed to them in trendy clothes. The confrontation with the boss is where Tsubasa shows off she does have modelling skills, but instead of randomly putting on a bikini in a dungeon infront of the group, its trendy clothes. The end cutscene is the group of girls modelling in the public square in the same style of clothes.

How's your tolerance to anime? There is a varying degree of cringe throughout the game, due to its very concept, but I found fairly tolerable. There is 0 similarities to Raidou. However, gameplay, music and even ambient wise the game is fucking fantastic. I'd recommend watch a bit of the game on youtube, until someone gets the Season attacks (a bit after the first boss) to see if you'll enjoy it. Or see if you can emulate it.
By my personal opinion, I'd absolutely recommend it to you, but it all boils down to your taste.

The majority of the people who actually played it, myself included, agreed that it's a good game. A few flaws here and there along with a few cringe moments but engaging gameplay.
It had a decent amount of threads during its first weeks of release and even had a short-lived general for waifufags on /vg/

What I liked the most about the game is how you have access to your entire party during a turn and benched characters still join during session attacks

Treehouse is the official team of Nintendo that localizes games for their English American release.

During the Wii U era and a lot of 3DS games, they were known for doing really bad localizations that censored a lot of stuff or flat out removed stuff(think of the type people give Sony shit for nowadays). A very famous example is the *horrible* Fates localization. And what sucked about that was 3DS and Wii U weren't region free so we were stuck with it.

Now though Nintendo has embraced anime tiddy and we get no real censorship across regions.

Because it's a cheap port, and because it bombed for three specific reasons: It wasn't what people were expecting, it was a Wii U game, and because of the censorship in the west. At this point however players are probably going to be a bit more willing to overlook the idol aspect of the game, and the western release doesn't seem to be heavily censored anymore. So it's pretty much just time to give it a second chance because overall it's a really decent JRPG that got overlooked for all the wrong reasons.

Hitting weaknesses is like demon co-op attacks in SJ, only you can eventually make it so that EVERYONE hops in for a follow up attack, including members not even in the battle.

Also boss fights are very interesting. Instead of boring ass HP sponge bosses like Persona 3-5, bosses tend to have middling HP, but steadily call for reinforcements that you have to adjust to dealing with on the fly, taken as inspiration from the Fire Emblem games themselves.

I certainly think I liked Tokyo Mirage Sessions on the Wii U more than I liked Persona 5 on the PS4. I was more hyped for and let down by Persona 5 though where as I thought I was going to hate Tokyo Mirage Sessions. So honestly, I think I'd prefer to have a revamped TMS than P5R on the Switch. Alao, something few people mention is that they are your weapons as well, and grt new weapon forms by means of fusing with the souls of other mirages that you get through battling or doing "demon" negotiations in the arena. The weapons affect a character's stats, the skills they can learn, and what their weaknesses and resistances are, much like getting new demons in SMT.
