The worst thing about Felix's paralogue is preventing Rodrigue from killing the last enemy before all the villagers escape. You need to make sure he uses up all his magic, then surround the last enemy with four bulky units with no weapon equipped, then stall until the villagers escape. It's a pain.

You should have at least two flyers and at least aoe dance gambit, and you get stride in the very fucking beginning of the game.

The good thing about NG+ is that you have the freedom to utilize as much or as little cheese from it as you want.
At the very least, I think it's worth it to get certain units more quickly and to pass gender locked abilities to your Byleth.

The overall support is the same but a few lines were changed. Basically the support has Ingrid complain about Sylvain constantly trying to flirt with women. In both versions she complains about him flirting with her grandmother but in the Japanese version she will complain about him flirting with a transvestite. In the English script this was changed to being a scarecrow. Even if you find the line inoffensive I think them wanting to avoid controversy from that line is justified.

There's more in the regular routes too, one I recall is how you can joke about your 'sense of humor' being the answer to timeskip Dimitri asking you why he's followed you for so long, or some such.

I just finished Blue Lions today, was gonna S rank Lysithea because I love her, I even A ranked her with Hanneman and Linhardt in case it triggered something to cure her, but she died on the last turn of the final map because I forgot Edelgard had vantage and I got hit at 70% and crit at 8% after I had blown all my rewinds. The last three months of playing I had already skipped by because it was all such a slog but now I feel like my playtime was all worthless

It breaks my heart everytime I hear Lysithea talks about how much little time left in her.

I took this battle WAY slower than average, like finished on turn 22 or something. I thought it was pretty difficult so early in the game

I also took the battle very slowly. I just played it by the numbers and let the third faction do most of the damage on Edelgard. If you're running BL, then it won't work since the heavy physical hitters on GD don't path that way and by extension don't kill the support units who have high res.

Which house are you using? BL has Dedue and Mercie, and that combo will refuse to die even with mages. GD will struggle a bit cause their early game isnt anything really worthwhile, even Raphael, so play real slow and hide in bushes

I was just so fatigued with the game I wanted to be done, and I had already completely reset once so I had invested a couple hours on the final map alone. My first playthrough ended up being about 80 hours of me playing it like a full time job, I wasn't going back.

Actually, everybody I sent in died except Linhardt and Ingrid, and Linhardt only survived because he had low movement and was mostly a healer at the back of the pack

Yeah you're fucked since that map is hardest for Blue Lions. Just clean the map and park a unit that can survive an enemy phase in Edelgard's path, then back them up into bushes and use physic/elixirs until Edelgard is low enough to have someone else finish

I kept my NG+ file rolling but didn't use anything because autism. All 4 routes came close to 150 hours. I want to treat myself to a "cheating" run of BL where I just use renown to recruit and make meme builds before lunatic.

Optimal way to play is to do 2 routes and then wait for the other 2 difficulties to do the others.

Statues never turn off. Everything on NG+ is easy difficulty.

The difficulty spike around there and iirc a chapter or two later, go down til timeskip, up a bit right after timeskip, plateau, and spike up real hard at the last few map if you arent prepared/dont make OP units

Only advice to not ruin your playthrough by making it too try hard
If you're playing Golden Deer or recruit him, Lorenz is a mage knight so if you think he sucks turn him into a mage, if he somehow levels strength maybe make him back into an axe user occasionally using a lance for one of the better arts he knew
