This is the Handler Appreciation Thread: NO HANDLER BULLYING PAST THIS POINT.
Seriously though, the amount of white-hot rage directed at this character is astounding to me. Sure she’s a bit of a dummy, but she’s fun and does her best. People say she’s useless, but I always though that her job as handler was to deal with the boring stuff like logistics of getting our gear place to place and collecting our findings into full reports and other things that would be boring to show in a video game, so that we can focus on being the hunters.
Would the Handler Hate dissipate with these 2 changes:
1) She says “You did it” instead of “We did it” 2) She calls you “Hunter” instead of “Partner”
Would that make her role as our goofy sidekick easier to swallow for people?
she is just a pointless character, kinda like vaan and penelo in FFXII. she doesnt add anything to the gameplay in a meaningful way, and you could replace nearly everything she does with just going to a bounty board and pressing the confirm button

Better yet, go full Dragon's Dogma on it. You create and customize your own Handler, and when you friend someone you can exchange cards or something and get the ability to select their Handler too.
