So, why did this not blow up like Undertale did?

So, why did this not blow up like Undertale did?

It has everything that made Undertale become famous for. And good art.

Because it was an actually good game.

Undertale succeeded because of furfags

Because, while it looks like, it doesn't have tumblr shit.

I still dont get the point they were trying to make with the the final boss

Essentially that people will create ideologies out of anything if it reduces the anomie of existence. Even a giant fucking worm spaceship.

In this, General Chrome was right.

was not aware that konjak was tapped into the homostuck furfag community
also has too much gameplay for undertale fans

Why was she so cool?

"Let us grieve existence, together."

That was a real fucking good line.

the developer didn't suck e-celeb cock to have them play it on their let's play channels

maya was truly glorious character design

> expect the usual metroidvania gameplay
> story is pretty different
> shit starts getting real
Shocked the fuck out of me

Honestly, that part with Elro and Agent Black made me see that shit really hit the fan.

Having to leave Royal to die was a fucking gut punch

It doesn't have an ending.

Also considering the fact that he can regenerate, since the moon is made of Ivory. Which means he is probably suffocatting until he gives up.

They fucked up with Royal.
He deserved a redemption arc.
With the ending he has gotten, all his character development was for nothing.

Having the player realize by themselves you can't progress without doing so was great design. It was a small thing, but most games would have a thrown a big objective in your face.

CHROME DLC WHEN

Imagine roaming trough a Cataclysmical world with your boys, challenging god to a fight and then fucking off to nowhere so you are not worshipped.

Also, Chrome reminds me of LISA for some reason.

that was pretty shit, as its a game built around the idea that telling people they can solve their own problems is heresy. It was more like just "oh you're trying to make a point here but it goes against everything leading up to it. good job."

I was more so talking about it in regards to puzzles and other gameplay related things that you have to figure out yourself in the game.
