Barroth is still good, keep Free Element off it and stick an Elementless jewel in there for decent damage and then Paralyze in sword mode. The Blue sharpness becomes a bit of a problem for axe mode after the first few MR gates but you can pick up Glavenus boots for Handicraft, and a few other pieces of Glavenus are pretty good for Swaxe with Power Prolonger and Focus.

No one really needs that user, damage on top of damage and flinching the monster is the Iceborne meta

HH was always good. The issue with HH playstyle is you had to understand it was the team based playstyle. Just stunlock the monster and keep buffing people and be ultra survival build with support decos.

HH isn't for killing, it's for making sure everyone else gets to play on literal dumb mode and never die.

You completely misunderstood the weapon. The optimal HH playstyle is dealing damage like any other weapon and buffing yourself as a priority, with the buffs also applying to your allies just being a nice bonus.

Top speed kinsects in World were already super quick even without speed boost glaives (which gave diminishing returns on faster kinsects iirc) so I'll bet they'll be plenty fast enough in Iceborne.
I say this as a PC player though so I don't know how fast kinsects actually get in Iceborne. Even so I'd gladly give up a little bit of speed in exchange for the aftermentioned buffs

You just have to use its mobility and easy defensive options to keep up a retarded level of aggression like Lance and Dual Blades.

Slinger / clutch claw is a good mechanic now. There’s great use for different type of slinger ammo. It’s much better than in MHW where flash pod / dung pods were the only relevant things to put into your slinger. Flash pods are heavily nerfed in favor of more clutch claw / diversed slinger play. Clutch claw/ slinger shot is a much better mechanic to deal with flying monster than just flash pod

I know story is not that important in these games, but it's implied that World takes place not long after 4U, right? And 4U takes place closely after 3U considering Aisha knows the guildmarm and the Moga village fishing woman is present in 4U, so does that make these 3 games a sort of trilogy?

The design is safe. Same can't be said for the notes.

It’s still good if you need an emerfency guaranteed stop to a monster (unless you reach the flash limit if the hunt). It’s more reliable to stop stuffs like supernova with it. If you are pin or teammate get pinned, flash pod is the most reliable way to get them out as well. It’s just not the do everything slinger ammo anymore

He's in like village 3*, it's a decent fight in higher ranks too. Too easy once you learn how to play with reversed controls though.

Play melodies that let you and everyone else hit the monster harder. Optional quests may advance character interaction in the hub world as well as unlocking arena challenges and mantles/gear, some of them come in a sequence and work as a mini-story that Capcom didn't bother to animate

It never had good notes, having every elemental buff song on one horn is at least a decent niche especially with World's elemental buffs.

I play a ton but admittedly mostly with friends who know how to buff themselves. I would never consider investing in wide range just to help shitty randoms stumble through a quest. Using powders/dust is one thing, but I'd rather just play solo than carry people who can't function (especially since solo HH is better than ever).

Wide range is pretty good one some fight such as behemoth and ESPECIALLY a. Leshen. Monsters that can do huge aoe that hit the whole team, wide range user is nice to have. A. leshen is borderline mandatory because it has huge unavoidable dot in melee range that can even overtake the healing from health aug

The banbaro GL does pretty decent damage early on and it makes up for normal shelling by having 5 shells. As for armor I don't really know anything optimal but i'm using banbaro's armor mostly for looks and offensive guard seems alright
