All the Smash bros fighting, each character taking hits as a bell rings more and more, eventually the view goes to the sky, showing the Skull Kid floating under the moon that's too close, after the gameplay, the trailer ends with the moon crushing everything and the world going to flames.

I like that too, I suppose it really depends if they were to reveal him in a Direct or not
If they go with a direct, they'll want to make the smash invitation the build up and conceal Sora until the last moment like in your idea, since if they show him from the start then the jig is essentially up
If it were a Game Awards announcement, they could get away with doing the same idea, or they could opt to have a trailer where Sora is shown off early and make the smash invitation the surprise element, like with Joker
