I would honestly love either Geno or Mallow, I just think Geno works better as a potential Smash character. His moveset from SMRPG translates to a Smash moveset better, being primarily attacks while Mallow is more of a support character. He's also more remembered 20 years later (I know, part of that is because of people ranting about him in Smash, but still).

for me, 50 in-50 mii costume, I won't let the hype get over me. But also there is the possibility to be forgotten...Which is possible, could be the worst scenario: No Mii costume, No fighter, just an .png to remind him

Smithy gang invades, breaks star road, Geno is sent to fix it. You spend the game going around collecting the star pieces to fufill GENO'S mission. And at the end there's a sad heart felt goodbye from the whole cast. It's Geno's story objectively

I like how grate guy's casino is talked about throughout the game as this great place that ends up being a complete waste of time in comparison to honing your platforming skills with the troopas to get frog coins. They are only that way in Smash. In the actual game you only play as a sole climber and do not need to play two-player mode to completely enjoy the game. It was no different from how you played Mario Bros., there was teamwork there as it was with Ice Climber if you played two players. As one of my first games, Ice Climber showed nothing that Smash does with the two characters.

He is though, and that's why it's historically been difficult/impossible to get him in the series. He's not a "Mario" character, he's a "Square-Enix Presents Mario RPG" character.

What separates Super Mario RPG from the Mario series as a whole and other Mario RPG games, like Paper Mario and M&L, is the fact that SMRPG was developed by Square Enix, a third-party company. So yeah, Geno is indeed a special snowflake, and not necessarily because I like him. Then again, I wouldn't expect a lil' zoomer like you to know anything about the game. Dunno about other fans, but I kinda don't want him anymore. Maybe I grew out of him, but I think its just seeing the impact on gaming history icons like Megaman, Pacman, Simon, Ryu, Cloud, Hero, Banjo, and Terry have made, and were able to get into Smash, made me rethink wanting Geno. I liked him, and thought he would be a cool addition, but now it just feels like he would be a wasted spot? I know there is no limits to the number of characters he can add actually, its just, I don't feel like SMRPG really deserves it now. It deserves a stage. It deserves lots of music tracks. It may even deserve the Geno mii costume to a degree. But I don't feel like he should be his own character anymore. If we got a Geno mii gunner costume made like Sans so it covers the entire body, and comes with his own music, I think that would make me even more happy then if he were just a playable character. It was back in Melee. We got all the playable cast besides Mallow and Geno, so I wanted to complete the group with Geno. Then mii gunner made me want Geno even more, thinking he would play like gunner, but very different. Then I saw smash mods that gave him amazing movesets and wanted him even more. Then Smash 4 DLC started to make me rethink wanting him or not, but since I considered it a failure for not giving the most fan requested characters (Ridley, KRool, and Banjo) I kept wanting Geno. Then...everything happened at once, and is still happening, so I just feel like there is no need anymore.

Dude, you do not understand the story. After Booster Tower, the party saved the princess and they have no interest in going further. If it hadn't been for Geno, they'd have had every reason to ditch Bowser and fuck off to Mushroom Kingdom.

They enrolled Bowser and proceeded to Star Hill thereafter because there was the Star Road. They attacked Jonathan Jones because he had a Star. They killed Yaridovich because he had the star. They went to Monstro Town in search for a Star. Only THEN did they learn of Nimbus Land and it turned out to be where Mallow came from out of pure luck. Then went to Barrel Volcano thereafter because there was a star.

When they enter the factory for the first time, Bowser is all like "Fuck this I got my castle back" and Geno convince the team they have to push on together because the Star Road isn't fixed yet.

Geno puts everything together. He establishes and drives the most important and most basic part of the mission behind the game. The game is called LEGEND OF THE SEVEN STARS, goddammit.
