Now that you're an adult, do you admit that this was the most kino temple?

I liked the water temple in twilight princess better.

Only problem was having to pause to use the boots and the final boss and midboss being reversed

The music is good.

I've played OOT dozens of times and during my last playthrough of a few months ago, I realised I don't like a single one of the dungeons.

I like all of the adult dungeons. The child ones are all pretty fucking weak in comparison. Forest temple will always be my favorite though.

>adult
>nintendo
sorry but if you still own any nintendo products its proof you'll never be an adult

Actually t was kino when I was a child and my parents fucking hated it, I thought shadow link was amazing because I liked Peter Pan..

Atmosphere wise, yes
Puzzle wise no

The raising and lowering of water levels was absurd.

>people still genuinely think it's possible to softlock the water temple

Yes. The whole leadup to the water temple after finding zoras domain frozen and doing the ice cave is phenomenal. Then getting to the temple and finding Ruto (my first crush) inside all grown up and acting distant was a little sad. The overall atmosphere and design is great, alternating between serene and claustrophobic. Dark Link was a genuine jump scare the first time and and boss that kids were talking about at school for months. I usually end up missing a key somewhere but I never thought of it as being too hard until the internet told me it was.

One of the things I am most thankful for is that I got to play ocarina is a young kid with an untainted imagination.

Yep. Pretty ballsy how it makes a hub out of such raw 3D space spanning multiple levels and in one loading zone.

>"HURR DURR WATER LEVELS SUCK!"
I hate you OP, like from all my burning soul inside of me I fucking hate you.
Why the fuck did you decide to be part of this shitty behaviour about old games when, if you think about it just a little, it makes sense.
Water levels don't suck, it's just you that can't accept this is how water works: It makes you slow and you have to retake your breath outside of water.

I can't fucking stand people like you who always complaint about old games just because they are not as easy than games today.

I won't ask you to git gud, I will just ask you to stop being part of that cancer shit!

How are you supposed to beat dark link? Even as a dumb kid the dungeon didn't bother me but I got stuck on dark link and had to cheese him with din's fire and magic potions I think,
I'm not even sure if there were magic potions in game and if I'm misremembering

hammers

Spirit Temple > Water Temple > Forest Temple > Shadow Temple > Fire Temple

The water temple felt like it had the most impact to that part of the plot with the ice cavern and going to lake hylia afterwards. Also the most intricate dungeon design
Spirit temple feels like you've entered a legitimate ancient temple and had the best progression and use of mechanics.
Forest had good middle ground with great atmosphere and design abeit a bit tedious at times
Shadow also has great atmosphere but way more tedious and could've gone more in depth with the spooky shiekah lore
Fire temple is monotonous, goes on too long, gorons are idiots, megaton hammer is cool, volvagia is kino, and the arabic chanting are great. Shame it's wasted on the weakest dungeon

This also sounds like it'd be cheese.

Don't use z targeting. You can also use the hammer or biggorons sword

When I was a kid, I was scared of the moblins so I skipped the Forest Temple and somehow beat the Fire Temple and Water Temple before getting to bow?

Did I just dream this or was it actually possible?

Fire Temple is entirely possible without bow usage anywhere. Water Temple has at least 1 key locked behind an eye switch.

That's not stone tower temple.

You made a mistake and didn't post a picture of the Forest Temple

I ALWAYS admitted that

>Why yes, I do play the game on Master Quest difficulty. How could you tell?

Water always sucks, it doesn't matter if the game is old. The water in botw sucks too.

fuck off with your shitty meme

Master Quest's Water Temple is actually easier than the regular one.

They moved all the difficulty to Jabu-Jabu's Belly

It was soiled entirely because of the boots debacle and general tedium of the water level shit. If it weren't for that it would be genuinely good. The music is also bland and sleep-inducing, not even close to the same level of quality as Forest or Spirit's.

Based tastes. No other area in any zelda games comes close to the Spirit Temple.

Maybe, but Final Fantasy had the best "temple" theme

That's not the forest temple.

Design-wise, it's the best dungeon. The problem about it is that you constantly have to open up the menu to equip the iron boots

No, that was true. You just have to follow an ultra specific set of instructions that most likely would never happen by coincidence. Someone posted a long explanation in another water temple thread a while back so you might be able to find it in the archives.

my save file of twilight princess from when i was a kid is still stuck on water temple to this day lol. it was way too fucking hard looking back now

Not really. It has some pretty clever puzzles like the one in the room before the boss. It's just less tiresome and tedious than the normal one.

I definitely powered through that one. I think the issue was that as a kid, you now had to deal with funky looking water physics that, if I'm remembering right, didn't quite work exactly as they should have. And some of those segments took for-fucking-ever to pass through, even without worrying about enemies. Like that room with a bunch of pillars and gears over an abyss. That room fucking sucked to traverse.

Good taste, but I love the Shadow Temple. The vauge lore that we were given was enough to terrify me as a child.

Switch Forest and Water for me. The atmosphere in Forest Temple is just too good. That fucking music.

DO DO DO DO

but my favorite Tunic was the red tunic,

i remember playing this in the late 90's, and imagining if it could be a game in my head like what Skyrim eventually turned into. Zelda went into cartoon land, and i finally got skyrim/witcher, although still not really as immersive as i want, maybe on the next gen

user, my child brain knew it was kino before kino even became a meme buzzword.

>Now that you're an adult
You are making a big assumption about Yea Forums there.

Why? Forest, spirit, and shadow are great. I can see why fire and water can be criticized.
