There's not much of the actual story. But there's an absolutely amazing lore and world building, i can safely say it's one of my favourite RPGs in that regard. Author even created different slang for different in-game cultures.

Main story is pretty much transparent, it's just there for you to collect information about the setting and lore.
Some of the sidequests are pretty interesting but again mostly because of the insight they give you into the setting not the writing/characters involved.

Combat is required
Psi is VERY strong
Certain guns and armor require str to use properly
Put some points in throwing
You can get away with 0 in traps because bear traps are god tier and require no skill
Either max dodge and evasion or ignore them and wear heavy armor

Psi is good if you're a big brain game forum reader like some guys here, but confusing if you only have basic game knowledge. It's never a good idea to take it as your first build, as you'll get lost in the spells list and end up battered to death by some sledgehammer chad because you didn't know infused leather boots existed.
Melee is really strong, too, but it requires choosing feats very carefully, unless you want to end up relying on stealth items to get through.
All in all, I'd say guns provide good utility in most situations and are generally a better experience if you want to play a more fleshed out Fallout game, with psi being a nice addition in exchange for some points.
But still, psi does give you an alternative you wouldn't have otherwise, and I'd say elemental disciplines do give you an edge you wouldn't normally get until much later in the game.

Game tells you not to take every enemy on. Maybe your build doesn't benefit from combat, maybe you want to dodge these guys for good, maybe there's another option. In any other game, you'd just waste everyone for XP. That's one of the problems I had with Divinity 2.

Busted with Temporal, Adrenaline and Focus Stims, peaks at 12 and remains strong throughout the game. No idea what the other user is about, by level 8 you're able to craft a decent Vindicator/Rebel that will blast Depot A and beyond no problem.

Kinda mediocre and require more Feats than Pump. They're alright with Tin Cans but Shotgun Burst is overkill most of the time and I find the pump-action + Grenade combo much more effective. If you go burst keep a pump on the off-hand for meaty Sixth Shots and single-target cleanup.
