The digimon dusk/dawn games were pretty lit.

the OSU games (and elite beat agents) are the quintesential rythm games of the DS.
Megaman ZX/ZX Advent are pretty good Megeman games with Metroidvania elements
all the Castlevania games on the DS are fucking amazing too.

Etrian Odyssey, namely 3 since its the only EO game that never got a remake for the 3DS.

Pokémon platinum , HGSS, and BW2 are each definitive versions of Pokémon, and are the best games they’ve made. That being said you can download hacks of these the improve them even further

Black 2/ White 2 and Heartgold/ Soulsilver plus Platinum. Though in my opinion Diamond and Pearl are fine too if you aren't autistic about the speed.
