If you just want to point and click on guys then play old-style PC shooters. Do you want other games focused on pinpoint accuracy? For that there's Shmups and real-time puzzle games like Puyo Puyo that require you to be quick and decisive to play well.

Download emulators and fuck around with older games for an hours or two a day. Exposing yourself to a wide variety of titles, franchises and genres is important - you can't develop a better taste if you're only playing the same handful of games day after day.
