Because, like the SNiper, he can sit back at a perfectly safe and protected distance, except where the Sniper can only take on one person at a time, the Demo can potentially 1-hit kill multiple people if they happen to step over his sticky bombs

It used to be worse, a lot worse, stickies used to be much bigger explosions and you could detonate them any time after they left the barrel, be glad its not like that anymore, as for actually top tier demos, there isn't really a hard counter, theres a reason they're limited to 1 like medic in 6v6, highlander babbies need not reply

Pyro is not fun to play against and is full of janky mechanics.
Spy has been buffed for the past few years, you're just a retard who relied on the dead ringer too much.
Soldier is fun to play as and against so they don't want to tweak him. He keeps games moving too, he's not a stalemate class like pyro or engineer.
Demo's stickies got nerfed pretty hard after they reverted it the first time.
Sniper has a .2 second wait-time before he can headshot after scoping, and a year or two ago he got a movement stun added after taking a scoped shot.
Medic is one of the least played classes, it needs something to incentivize players.

He's appears overpowered because he's a generalist class. Much like Scout, Soldier, and Medic, he's designed to be comfortable in any situation he's in.
The other classes are all specialist classes, meaning that they're only useful in specific situations.

They would have to fundamentally change pyro to make him not suck. He's got a primary with limited range that doesn't require any aim or prediction and no mobility options, what the fuck did you expect?

That one does suck. DR actually works properly now, people don't expect it every time. If you wanted to face tank a heavy with it your time is up. The player outlines is stupid but it's a stretch to say it hurts spies more than anything else. He's not the worst class, he's the most situational and if you play him for the entire duration of a match you're playing him wrong. Get a pick, sap a nest, switch off him. He got a base movement speed buff, which I don't think you appreciate how huge that is, not to mention -20% damage when cloaked.

So what's your point? Do you have any real issues with soldiers other than them killing you?

Sniper is fundamentally an odd class, he excels at long range while everyone else operates at close quarters. The nerfs he's received make getting close to enemies very dangerous. At least if you do ambush him he's an easier kill now, I used to run around quickscoping like no-one's business before the post-shot stun got added because of some faggot youtuber who was upset about losing sniper duels.

It's team fortress and medic requires more cooperation than any other class. Without him the game would be pretty stale, the game needs a class that has a higher value than the other ones.
As for people not wanting to play him, there are a lot of factors that can't easily be remedied. First might be that he isn't a solo powerhouse, you need to be healing a competent teammate to kill people. How would you suggest changing that?
