You know it's bad when Link's Awakening, a remake of a Game Boy Zelda for 60 dollars, is my second most hyped Switch game, and I don't even have nostalgia for Link's Awakening
It's a matter of taste. The Link Awakening remake means nothing for me, in fact it looks lazy IMO, I am even more interested on Daemon x Machina, and that one I would say gives me similar feelings that the link Awakening is giving you.
With that said, I am hype for Astral Chain, and even Luigi's Mansion after the E3, and what I can say, I am happy of getting the definitive edition of Dragon Quest XI. So, taking in mind I ussually fill months with Indies and retro games, this later half of the year is rather kind to me.
Its not worth 60 dollars thats for sure. 60 isn't a lot of money but the content the game has isn't worth 60 dollars. I want true sequels with effort, identity, and care put into that separate it from the game before it. Nintendo isn't even trying anymore with majority of their crap. They can do so much better than this. Going forward with the Online is another problem itself but I want good quality games again. Sure odyssey wasn't the best but it was made from the ground up and brand new. That to me is what a 60 dollar game should be. Not half-assed reused bullshit
What they should have at least done was pull a Link Between Worlds with Link's Awakening and do a pseudo sequel that essentially ROMhacks the game with a bunch of new shit. That I could have justified as 60 dollars
