Then the story continues and finishes

I'm really surprised the game is as praised as it is. Route A is very unsatisfying and the ending feels kind of out of nowhere. Seeing people go "wow route A was already amazing!" makes me question the mental capacity of the average gamer. Also 2B's actual relationship with 9S is so subtlety presented in the game I would not be surprised if most people were unaware of it. It was only after I read through the additional stories outside the game that I fully realized what was going on and felt that classic Yoko Taro punch to the stomach.

The combat is really shallow too and those shoot em up sections go from a nice change of pace to a grueling slog the longer you play.

As a long time fan of Yoko Taro, I can put up with bullshit, so I loved the game and can overlook its flaws. I'm just dumbfounded it found as much success as it did, and question whether or not the average fan fully appreciated it.

I did try my best to enjoy it but just didn't.
