I consider it a very personal hobby and rarely talk about it to others. I don’t game online, follow any twitch streamers or any gaming events like Evo, nor do I idolise or keep up with any ecelebs or gaming teams like Cloud 9 or Leffen. The most I’ll do is watch youtube videos on games I like, lurk this board and talk about it to my brother. Nowadays online and community are integrated with games and impossible to seperate. Some stuff the gaming community does like speedruns interest me, but for the most part I’m simply disinterested, that’s all.
>TLDR; OP is a loser with no friends and doesn’t share his hobby or engage in the community. Anyone else like this?
whats "apprroach" its a normal thing. do you read a book with someone else.
whats so sad. clap to death in a theater fucking needy amerimutt

I can’t understand your sentences my man

With the exception of threads like this one, yes. I don't care for multiplayer games at all. The only gaming "events" I really follow are E3 stuff and speedrun marathons, otherwise I'm not interested in game communities or MMOs or discords or any of the social scene stuff.
Ryder Long
I play some online tank games occasionally with chat off
Sebastian Hill
You're literally the only person to do this op. The only person in the ENTIRE world, you're so unique, how do you do it? Where did you come up with this wild, revolutionary approach to enjoying video games?
No you fucking flaming faggot, a huge majority of people who play video games don't care about esports/online competitions/streamers. There's a reason that on a good day sites like twitch are barely scraping 1m concurrent viewers.
Nolan Gray
hi
Adam King
I find conversing with people about video games in real life insufferable most of the time so I don't blame you
Landon Foster
>book good game bad
Robert Baker
My brothers are extremely engaged in the online aspect which I why I know about dota tournaments and their favourite streamers but I rarely engage, just listen. I can understand the appeal. It’s exactly the same as watching real sports, getting to see people play competitively and at a much higher level. But I don’t watch real sports either and honestly the only thing I care about is playing the actual game plus other things like mods and console hacking.
Isaiah Price
playing a single player game exclusively is nothing special. its the fucking video game. its a fucking normal thing. online gaming is more about your mutt "party" faggotry like clapping and cheering in a theater with others.
Noah Ross
I actually don’t mind it. I’ll happily talk to anyone about anything but to me if talking about your favourite streamers or events interests you I’ll try my best to add to that conversation
Kayden Garcia
Eh basically I want friends to play with but my standards are so absurdly high that there's no one like that. I know because I've tried. Still, it's not too bad. I mostly stick to SP games nowadays
Tyler Morgan
I dunno my dude, that shit’s pretty big in asia
Asher Brown
I used to have physical LAN parties with high school friends and we’d play csgo, minecraft, age of empires 2 and all these weird indie games. Good times. Unfortunately we’ve all drifted apart.
Same for me. Although we mostly played BW and Quake
David Perez
only multiplayer game i play these days is team fortress 2. i used to play games with friends but at the end i didn't share the same taste for vidya as them and we've stopped playing together, so i had to resort to playing alone. i play games with my family sometimes, that's at least one thing the switch is good for i wish i had someone who i could actually play some vidya with instead of just csgo all day every day, someone who is open to all kinds of games the way i am, but unfortunately i haven't met anyone online nor irl like that
Julian Perez
I refuse to talk about video games to anyone that I don't actively play with (except on here). I will talk to the 2-3 that I play TF2 with, and the 2-3 people I play DDR with, and no one else.
Kayden Cook
When playing on my own i absolutely despise people interrupting me or just watching me in silence, it makes my blood fucking boil.
I have to play in pristine conditions of solitude and complete silence, blocking all background noise to play comfortably.
I do play vidya with friends though, this only applies to singleplayer stuff.
I guess its like my alone time, my escape, my personal zen garden.
well it's a good thing everybody in this thread is posting from Asia then
Carson Edwards
>Cloud 9 or Leffen i haven't even ever heard those names before. yes i'm exactly like you. i find watching esports as boring as watching real sports
Luke Wilson
I like doing this too but my parents constantly interrupt me. I lived alone for a while and it was fucking paridise to play hours of vidya continuasly without people bothering.
Evan Turner
In china you mean, where everything is huge in comparison? dungeon and fighter online is the most popular game in china in the f2p category, it has several hundred MILLIONS users registered, and pulls damn near 100m concurrent players any given day, nearly 250m the last anniversary event.
Yet the only streaming service china had that wasn't based on qq or some other weibo property died and had less than 500k viewers on any given day. Korea? They have afreeca, top BJs on there get usually ~10k viewers. Japan has niconico, outside of real life events being hosted there you'll be hard pressed to find a single stream with more than 5k viewers.
Levi Cruz
Yes, also like this with music. It’s so subjective - whenever I talk about what I like around other people I can feel their disinterest
Noah Ortiz
BASED FUCK GATEKEEPING VIDEO GAMES ARE FOR EVERYONE, RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE UPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP
Robert Thompson
probably because you're the only one with shit taste incel freak lmao incel lmaooooooooooo >all these incels coming out of the woodwork
I have trouble finding things to talk about with new people, mostly because vidya is a huge chunk of leisure activities. Besides vidya all there is for me is tv shows, movies and the NFL.
But even when I meet someone who is big into vidya that I like, I still don't try to connect with them on it. For me it's just too personal and I don't like verbalizing my opinions and tastes.
Example: met someone in university who was into kingdom hearts as much as I was. For the 2 years we were friends I never told her I was a fan too just because I was autistic and embarrassed about it.
>guys am i the only one who does [normal, tame thing]?? getting real tired of this shit
Luke Kelly
Well, is he?
Owen Richardson
I only talk with people about games, that I know they may care for theses days. I do not play any multiplayer anymore because it sucks too much time and I rather have a solid singe player experience. I treat ist basically like books. I like story heavy games like point and click adventures but hate over the top movie games.
