Funny story about the original Fatal Fury... it was made to be a better Street Fighter, in a time SNK wasn't aware Capcom was working on SF II, so they succeed in making a better version of a really bad game. I mean, it's an interesting piece of story, but there is no real reason to play it beyond just curiosity. Just like with the original SF, though again, Fatal Fury it's indeed the better game.

I beat it on the PS2 collection. It was hard, but IIRC there was some trick to beating Billy, who was somehow harder than Geese. Once I learned that it was a pretty easy game, but I forget the trick now.

I always wondered how accurate the emulation was. I figured it must have been at least a bit off considering how it could run on a toaster with ease while shit like BSNES would murder your laptop.

Even more so when you consider FF2 had 8 playable characters plus 4 unplayable bosses and Special made the bosses playable and added a few extra characters from the first game. Hell the FF2 bosses were a boxer, bullfighter, returning character from the first game and evil overlord crime boss.

Throwing him insta-breaks his staff. He blocks until he gets a new one from Geese's agents in the background, and I don't think you can throw him again until that point, but you can deal some chip damage. Once he gets his new staff he's open for another throw due to a bit of start up after he jumps, grabs the staff, and lands.

Get final burn neo from its web-sight and the roms from the nointro list posted on the /r/roms subreddit. Configure your controller or arcade stick and you're good to go. You can also use retroarch with the FBNeo core. The ROMs should be listed under MAME, but finalburn has more features and is less sensitive about ROM versions.

You could actually lose a round, if you throw the next one, and use continue. The game is only looking for straights, not one quarter runs.

And in retaliation, SNK gave Yuri a whole lot of moves that Street Fighter characters used. An almost complete amateur a fighting, using her spare time, was improvising moves that it took SF characters years to master.

It's not in the game at all. It's a remix that was on a CD with other video game remixes/arrangements that was released with Super Famicom Magazine volumes only in Japan.

The first Darkstalkers game didn't even come out on Saturn. Savior is the best, and Hunter is a superior version of the first game.
