stalker modding has guides online though. It's all about putting in the work to learn it and make stuff

sure enough, but i always find the trouble to be finding the one guide(s) that encompass enough details to make a compelling play area. Though i haven't tried my hand at something like it since before CoC was released.

I haven't read the book, but there are a lot of parts from the film which shows up in the game. You can really tell that at least someone on the STALKER-team was a huge fan of the film.
