Not in the slightest. Tails was always my favorite in the series.

Honestly if I had to choose any 3rd party series already in Smash to get a 2nd rep, Sonic would be the best. Sonic's been in Smash religiously since 2008, and his supporting cast would make great characters.

The only thing that would annoy me about Tails being added would be that it's him instead of Eggman, who would be funner (and funnier).

If Sonic gets another rep, the only acceptable answer is Eggman. And no, Vegeta Sonic isn't an option.

if any 3rd party deserves a 2nd rep it's Sonic, especially because Sonic in Smash fucking sucks cock. His moveset is unbelievable boring, in a game where everybody has just three special moves, two of his are the same. He is so bland and shitty compared to the love and uniqueness that 3rd parties got in 4 and Ult that it's ridiculous. I would not want the 2nd Sonic character to be Tails though, modern Tails is fucking gay.

Do people like Tails as a character? Like yeah people love Tails in porn because of the shota category that he enables (like Straight Shota), but as a character? I don't care about him. It's funny but I love Diddy Kong from the DK series to the point DKC2 is my favorite game of the franchise and Diddy is an awesome bro to the main character. Tails? He's just kind of dull. Still to look at things from a different perspective? Nintendo and Sakurai have no choice. Do you really think Smash will continue selling as well as it does strictly on mostly Nintendo First Party characters and minimal Third Party? No. Any gaming franchise always needs to be flexible and accept change to survive, I mean just look at Resident Evil and the drastic changes it has gone through from Tank Controls, Third Person Shooting since RE4, and most recently First Person Perspective with RE8.

So yeah gaming franchises need to do these things to stay fresh and keep customers coming back to buy more and buy more yet again.

Why do people love Knuckles so much? His deal is he's the Dumb Guy of the group? Sure he's from the Classic Era, but it's not like he was that great and by now he's really cemented himself as being dumb and even in Sonic Mania they continue re-cementing how dumb he is. He's a devalued character regardless of incarnation by now. He's hopelessly dumb in both Classic and Modern era.

The thing with Knuckles never was that he was dumb. His isolation and background of being the last one of his tribe stuck guarding the Master Emerald makes him more gullible than others. He's only portrayed as incompetent or dumb in stuff like Boom
