Video games have to appeal to an international market, but there are a lot of places where it's much more taboo than it is in the west, so on the rare occasion that they do have a gay character, they have to make it subtle so the game will still be available in those countries, otherwise they risk having it banned.

I feel this is good honestly. Homosexuals contribute resources and labour to the world without offspring to siphon off said resources. They also have longer marriage and are both more intelligent and in better physical shape on average than straight people.

Womens bodies are aesthetic as well as mens, that's not the same as making a character and claiming it's gay, or writing an actual story about it being gay.

What? in many first world countries, birth rate is a big issue and below the replacement rate. Old people live longer but still must be supported, younger people don't make enough kids, putting a strain on the economy. How does being a homosexual help here?
