what the fuck went wrong?maybe NA servers are different

Asmongold just logged in. Say goodbye to CSshit.

Nobody gives a fuck unless you are in a guild user.

Nothing but SM spam right now in NA. People seem helpful though.

>Asmongold just logged in. Say goodbye to CSshit.

h-home

I honestly think that people became much colder in the last 10 years. We just don't give a fuck about others, don't want to help others, myself included.

It's going to be a hollow victory for every player who is following or copying what the streets are doing in-game and expecting anything worthwhile from it

the reason why classic was doomed from the start: players are still the same.

Been playing nearly every waking moment with my neet ass. Got a 27 mage and a 26 rogue. Taking my time and enjoying things with minimal mods.

Streamers*

>mods
You mean fucking addons you orc fleabag?

Good, fuck the bandwagoning zoomers. Pure cancer.
.

>still top after 2 weeks
NOOOOOOOOOO /VEEEEEEEEE/ YOU TOLD ME CLASSIC WILL FLOPP WHAT THE FUCK

is it bad that reading (You) gives me anxiety

Sorry, I'm a little sleep deprived. Zug zug.

this >>Asmongold just logged in. Say goodbye to CSshit.

Twitch isn't good indication of whether it's dead or doing good because Soda and Asmongold will inflate the numbers

>Weeks later loses one spot but is still in the top trending
ITS OFFICIAL GUYS WOW CLASSIC IS OFFICIALLY DEAD TIME TO PLAY COUNTER-STRIKE INSTEAD

a good indicator is that retail guilds are falling apart

Just a little bit ago I had 29 guildmates online. In NA eastern pve. Also it's one of the additional server that has never had a queue.

Does anyone know where I can read up on how quest item drop rate interacts with how many players are in the party?

I've read that if you're in a group the drop rate gets decreased massively, and from my testing this seems to definitely be true, but I'd like to know more details. Do I just have to be in a party, regardless of party member's position? Do they have to be in the area? Do they have to have the quest?

true, I see many retail guild rolling over to classic, shit talking retail and gaytitanforging

soda is online based retard, and asmo is losing a lot of viewers too

My boomer friends all have kids now, we played a little, but everyone's schedules are all over the place. Why am I so sad and lonely?

Still have just as many people online in my guild as we did 2 weeks ago. Servers are as populated as ever. My retail guild stopped raiding and my entire friends list is still playing Classic.
Cope harder FFXIV tranny.

>He actually cares enough about Twitch streamers to keep a constant tally of Asmongolds viewership.
>Not only this, but ge's so hopelessly desperate for WoW Classic to fail that he's clutching any any straw he can possibly get his hands on to "prove it".
Please seek help for your terminal autism.

think about all the trannie outfits mounts and cheevo points he's losing if nobody plays retail

>underestimating twitch numbers
its a mmo based retard

Yes, it's a social game for the people who play it, not zoomers watching behind a screen retard.

You cant take modern players out of retail but you cant take retail out of modern players. Everyone is only interested in minmaxing their efficiency.

I'm having fun and there is nothing Yea Forums can do

Both servers I'm on are very much alive. Tons of people, tons of fun. I had a good time healing random based retard newbies that got in over their head last night.

>nooooooooOOO come back, classic is dead, noooooo, retailchads how could thid happen?!?!

Kek

holy based

holy cucked

Cringing hard rn.

>dude has 5 mobs on his ass and is almost dead
>help him
>he uses a skill to lose aggro and I get fucked (not sure if huntard or rogue or whatever)
Happened like 3 times, not helping anyone now, walking back to your corpse is a bitch in vanilla.

Man I missed that people were happy for getting food and water from me as a mage, but after a week of classic I'm so fucking tired of it now.
Also out of 100times I gave some faggot food only once did I get 1silver as thanks.

Am I going to make it to 100g by lvl 40? At least I'm honoured in Thunder Bluff.

Where the hell are you playing? I always help out other people and I've been helped many times if they see me in peril.

Never had this issue over on the Alliance side where people will help out if you just ask for it.

>helps someone for free

>switched from a full server to a low server to avoid queues
>actually able to log in now instead of sitting in queue for 5 hours

the login q says so

>everyone leaves party immediately after they are done with the quest
Why the fuck would you stay in party? Most quests are cancer in a group. Non-boss drops aren't shared on most quests like they are on modern WoW. It would take two-five times longer to get anything done.

???

Attached: whatwentwrong.jpg (579x335, 39K)

>haha ill just spend money to solve my problems XD

Based gamer microtransactions.

>Why the fuck would you stay in party?
Back in vanilla people would keep questing together for quests that aren't literal "collect spider glands" quests

LMAO THIS IS EXACTLY LIKE RETAILS SHITTY WQ SYSTEM LOOOOOOOOL

They aren't at all.

Played to find out what the hype was about. I get it now. It's basically crack cocaine in digital form. It keeps giving you little rewards to keep playing. Well timed little dopamine spikes from new skills, gear, lvls skills sounds etc. Just enough to keep playing without making it too common. The actually game play is so mind numbing though. There is no real skill to it. Find out the optimal button combo and you are set for hours and hours just repeating that. No strategizing, no aiming, no timing. You learn nothing. You just keep going for that next dopamine spike.

my queue begs to differ

>>people dont help you when you get ganked by mobs or overextended, they just walk past
as someone already wrote it's usually your own death warrant but I helped few people and got help back, but usally I rely on my vanish
>>everyone leaves party immediately after they are done with the quest
if there are more of us then sure because there's ton of others running around they can invite, if there are only two of us I always politely ask if the other guy wants help
>>no one sends friend/guild requests
this one is wrong, at least in our 'language' community
>>SM grind spam in lfg
this is correct

what I also noticed coming from private is that NOBODY GIVES YOU FREE BUFFS (Fortitude, Intellect, Mark of Wild etc.)

Europeans have always been selfish, heartless scum. The social dynamics they display in an online game aren't exempt.

I love how retail babbys keep spouting the same meme thread every few hours, and it always end up turning into a comfy Classic thread.

Attached: 1567574431568.jpg (171x171, 7K)

Oh I'm sorry, were you trying to do the smart thing and retreat? Well that's too bad. Say hi to the spirit healer for me.

Attached: dazed.png (64x64, 4K)

I've found that this is only true is you're leveling too fast. A few days ago I started leveling in Hillsbrand and it was a nightmare. It was just like you described, so I just took a break for a few days. Then I come back to hillsbrand and everyone was just as nice as in the starting areas, handing out buffs and helping each other out. If you're 40+ don't wonder why everyone else around you is a poopsocking faggot who is only interested in grinding solo, it's because you are also a poopsocking faggot.

Attached: 1529534236793.png (744x687, 44K)

I got to level 41 and I am burned out from leveling. Fuck this game.

hol' up

>comfy Classic thread.
>all content lasted less than a week

fucking filthy casual, not knowing how to avoid getting dazed while running away, just kill yourself.

>people dont help you when you get ganked by mobs or overextended, they just walk past
Don’t? Are you a mage or something?

you're playing babby's first MMO. you ARE the casual.

i played Mu 1st go suck a dick faggot

haha old man virgin bragging about MMOs. have sex.

im 24 and you're literally retarded. no u

Fuck I wish, these queues are unbearable. Why Yea Forums you said the retailfags and zoomers would leave already.

>friend tells me to come play with him on some Fuck all server, says he's been playing a few days with some friends from work
>okay.jpeg
>crank out to ten expecting him to have a lead
>don't hear from him so get to twenty playing off hours after work
>finally catch him online
>he's level 5
I've made a mistake.

>33g, lvl 33 rogue
just leave quests grind for a level or 2, either beasts with skinning or humanoids

>picking streamer server or other high pop
You did this to yourself. I haven't had a single queue on mine and its consistently high pop.

Attached: 1557674210482.jpg (934x960, 67K)

remind me again, which first world country happens to be the only exception and fervent opponent of free healthcare?

i dont know any streamers on stalagg

WHY AM I WAITING IN A QUEUE?!?
YOU SAID IT WAS DEAD!
AAAAHHHHHGGGGGHHHH!!!

LET ME IN LET ME IN

>Pick rogue because I played only casters back in vanilla
>LFM DUNGEON SPELLCLEAVE MELEECLEAVE

Where did this fucking meme even come from?
Sure I can make groups myself still, but it's just whack to the point where I don't even bother doing dungeons unless I can get something useful from it. So I've done SM and RFD for the quest swords and maraudon for the thrash blade

Attached: 1387880410608.jpg (624x658, 89K)

Funny how people were giving it months. Barely made it this far.

Mograine EU is kill

Well, user, you have to understand that the same people that cried about retail wow dungeons being all about aoe spamming because it's the fastest way to grind them out which allegedly ruins the feeling of progressions since it's too fast and effective are now sitting in classic wanting to grind out the dungeons the fastest way possible which is incidentally aoe spamming

Never played WoW, but my best guess is now its standard for people to have their established group of friends to play games with, all on Discord, Teamspeak etc. so why the fuck are they even going to entertain the idea of talking to random people when they can just chill with the homies

Its also highly cost effective if you go with empty bags. Though I suppose rep and professions suffer.

welcome to reality

There must be some wild differences between servers or even between NA/Europe, because this is pretty much the only thing I noticed most people seem to take the time to do.

Smart frogposter.

Depends on the class and what skills you have. Some can get pretty damn complex.

And yet city of heros is still going pretty good. It's almost like a shitty walking simulator is complete garbage

Westfall NA here. People buff and help all the time. Hell I have people helping my 30 warrior get the tusks and charms for my whirlwind axe.

Home...

Attached: WoWScrnShot_090719_181714.jpg (1920x1080, 318K)

That feel when.

Attached: WoWScrnShot_090719_085710.jpg (408x624, 253K)

Because wow is anti social.

Everything in wow punishes you for being social.
>grouping up cuts your xp
>helping others kill mobs gains you no loot or xp
>everything is one use only, so if you find a chest you have to compete and only one person gets the chest
>talking with others gains you no xp or loot, so it just slows you down
>raids are a huge fuck you with only like 3 drops from a boss for 40 people

The reason wow dies is because it is anti social. In GW2 I never had a feeling to fight with others. But in classic it's all about competition and hate because the next guy could steal your loot.

gw2 had so much potential but they had to go and add a random level 80 cap despite their world being designed around 20 being the cap and everything just scaling with you while forgetting to add any kind of character progression after you hit 30

Imagine being burned out barely halfway through

back then there were no normies on the internet, now it's full of normies. you will never have the same multiplayer experience again.
i would never piss away 15 bucks a month for this game, completely braindead time sink.

Sounds like an alliance problem to me.

Attached: he he he he.gif (500x375, 1.62M)

Everyone cites frost mage when its the most braindead class in classic and retail. Classic warlock is more complicated than retail by far. They even stripped out life tap because retailbabbies couldn't handle mana management.

>Having so much fun
>All my adult responsibilities are collapsing around me

Honestly pretty scared lads

Attached: 1552157148445.gif (600x313, 860K)

>stromgarde badges
WHAT WERE THEY THINKING
WHAT THE FUCK WERE THEY THINKING

>they had to go and add a random level 80 cap despite their world being designed around 20 being the cap
Was the game really designed with lvl 20 being the cap originally?

guild wars 1 max level was 20

Is the SM spam a significantly bigger thing on Alliance? I see so many more Horde out in the world questing and I know all the private server trannies on Yea Forums prefer Alliance.

Gonna be a whole pile of college drop outs due to classic all over again.

only reason I even play this is because I have nothing going on, and even I'm reconsidering. I would never play this shit if I had any sort of responsibility.

I already did this shit twice on private servers. I felt nothing playing classic. I'm level 59 now but i don't even care enough to hit 60.

maybe it was level 30 but basically yes, it just makes too much sense how the whole zones just get adjusted to your level and if you think about how gw1 had tons of interesting expansions without ever raising the level cap. But instead they fell for the classic we got to copy wow trap

I'm horde and not a single person in my guild does it. Shit's lame.

Borgut on whitemane horde. hit me up if you need a level 30 tank.

>Horde
>not having problems with people around

Sadly, it's why I've been doing, it's why I have 10g now, I was left with 2g after hitting level 30 and spending on skills.

Attached: othmar garithos.jpg (1191x670, 177K)

>wow mounted combat never ever
>flying combat never ever ever

Attached: 1539103841051.jpg (255x288, 21K)

It's been forever. The only two pics I have of the first time I played are a couple of these .gifs I made making fun of the server's lagspikes.

Attached: Lag01.gif (980x735, 1.59M)

Why is Classic so fun, bros? Is it the soul?

>that never feel when...

Whitemane needs to evict all boomers, there's 50 players per NPC that needs killin

Closest thing though, pick any flight path that goes above disputed areas, copy /spit then whenever you see an enemy click and paste.

That's why you make groups. But often even while in a group you may need to wait for an NPC to respawn once or twice.

the same country that has decent communities on WoW servers, apparently.

OP here. Can you guys let this thread die so I can make a new one? Thanks!

I set my hearth to the inn at whatever zone I am questing in and my group made fun of me

Everyone is constantly giving extremely basic advice and tips in a condescending way - I guess it's to show they played classic back in the day and swing their dicks around to feel big. It's super annoying.

MMO as a genre died like 15 years ago. either skip it or wait for VR

wow it's exactly like vanilla was 15 years ago, but of course none of you retards actually remember anything about that because you weren't even born then

>honestly think that people became much colder in the last 10 years
3 years actually, the 2016 election was a mini 9/11 culturally because people began to think that half the country that disagrees with them isnt annoying but outright evil

Attached: 1546729614372.png (800x909, 837K)

But user WoW is a game, not reality.

we are going home

Attached: bloodelf.jpg (596x380, 113K)

>24g, about to hit lvl 39
i duno if im gonna make it bros.....
what do i do to make some quick money? i have alch herbalism and fishing

Stop buying every ability rank when you keep using the same 5 attacks on mobs.

Sell your herbs sell your fish

Welcome to my brain, I see it pointless to convince others and most conversation has a high chance of a negative outcome, thus its not worth it outside of talking to some guildies and chilling with friends. I admit Im part of the problem but even when working on improving that it hasn't changed things really as my intial outcome throught on the matter of engagement with others is for lack of a better term pointless in case of most.

This isn't a private server that's getting shut down next month due to ddos, cease and desist, or donation fraud.

If you are already 60 then you burnt yourself out go play another game and wait till the core playerbase gets out of the 30s and hits 60 at the end of the month.

good

but im playing right now

Attached: classic_dead.png (1105x361, 461K)

People who are playing like complete autists now and spamming dungeons are going to be bitching and moaning on the forums, plebbit and Yea Forums for months about how Blizzard are releasing patches too slowly soon. I really just hope Blizz won't cave to these shitstains.

Attached: 1555739214101.png (600x617, 323K)

>waiting for it to be devoid of zoomers and not be so fucking crowded in leveling areas
How much longer do I have to wait Yea Forums?

You can do /friends just for the character, it's what I do. I've got about 10 so far.
Sounds shitty to be EU though.
I'm playing on NA PVE servers. Only about 1/3rd to 1/2 is SM spam. Plenty of normal people doing normal runs.

But I am having fun. I am helping people in the world. I am finding normal dungeon groups. I don't understand. You don't even play the game. Are your shitposting screeching words on a website supposed to change this experience that we players have? I don't understand what you're trying to achie-
>all these (You)s from other TORtanic Yea Forumsermin
Oh. Of course.

Attached: 1543710603871.jpg (416x437, 35K)

you've got another two weeks if you really want to play it safe.

>tfw havent encountered mean person
>tfw always helping folks being overwhelmed, always get some to help me
>tfw 50+ active guild members and their alts on every day, new members daily

Maybe it's your server or faction.

Just play on a low/medium server.

I'm on Whitemane and it really isn't that bad. The layers are less densely populated than even 5k pop private servers were.

The flame that burns twice as bright burns half as long.
It's a marathon, not a sprint user.

I've been running into the same problem while leveling my warrior. You think they'd be thankful, but they just ditch aggro and leave you to fucking die. Fuck helping these tourists.

>ask a guy to group for escort quest
>he starts it then tries to invite me after fucking me out of the quest
>tell him to fuck off and to have fun failing that
>killing mobs, come across both his corpse
feels good man.

I'm 23 and sitting on 7g from selling shit on the AH. Not totally stabilized, but some idiots will fall for the AH trap as they level. Beats vendoring decent items even if it's by 2 silver.

>forced to carry around a grey shield to give to "dps" warriors so they can tank an instance cause they dont carry a shield

This happened in Vanilla as well though. It's just that it usually leads to amusing drama when (You) the helper would then be a teenager and chimp out on general chat and then that guy would screech back and everyone gets their popcorn.

These kinds of small conflicts that escalate are what made Vanilla robust alongside the instances where people were helpful and grateful as there's a strong juxtaposition and made the world come to life. Nowadays other than NPC queue lines which never actually happened in Vanilla all you get are platitudes instead of sincerity, and I mean that in both positive and negative.

Granted anyone who didn't see this coming a mile away is retarded, but that's how nostalgia works.

don't ask them questions, ask strangers online instead

>1 week later
>some idiot ddos every server making it look like no one is playing because no one is

Attached: 1567375819444.jpg (671x888, 107K)

might as well be. fucking DDOS just took all the servers offline. based script kiddies

>didnt see this coming

100% agree user. im playing with a group of private server fags and theyre all really surprised at the state the game is in. when i pictured it, i never saw any other possibility. are we jaded fucks or have we just seen enough life to know better?

Congrats, you're getting the Authentic Classic Experience™. I'm having a lot fun laughing at you rose-tinted retards thinking this game was, is, or ever will be some tremendous community of elite gamer friends or whatever the fuck you thought would happen. It's the same old shit with same old people, but without the QoL that made the game at all enjoyable in Wrath+.

>Am I going to make it to 100g by lvl 40?
You'll be lucky to make 100g by lv 60 unless you go herbalism/mining.

I dunno, that's a complicated question to answer sincerely but I'll give it a shot. Personally I started MMOs with WoW but if I had to say which MMO system I favored the most it would be SWG, but since I never got to play SWG in it's heyday my best memories were Vanilla.

At least for me, my most fondest memories were never server first or getting triple rank 1 gladiator on my server, that shit was just killing my real life and when I look back it just seemed so pathetic and autistic for some temporary high and it wasn't even as good as playing sports in high school. Rather it was the memories of being an immature dick in South Shore / STV etc riling up a good portion of the server and getting into faction rivalries that made the other side wanna fuck my guild over during MC/BWL runs just cause of our history of ganking each other non stop. At the same time I still maintain contact with some friends I made online that just happened to live near where I did, so that was always cool despite the fact that these friends were total casuals and could never participate with me in high end raiding or arena and my fondest memories in WoW with them were literally when we did stupid shit and got wiped on some really basic stuff like heroic dungeons during TBC when heroics were first introduced.

It's probably different for everybody, but I think many would agree that WoW was not the achievements but rather the interactions and reactions to the game itself. But people like me are pushed back by those who are still addicted to that achievement high that comes from running the rat race of PvE and PvP where they subconsciously care more about their status than how much they enjoyed playing with the players around them.
