The issue I have is that there isn’t enough of the game changed to justify repainting it and selling it as new.
The graphics are just okay, and the music may be the only redeeming factor, but otherwise you can just play a rom of LADX and get a better experience

I dare even one person here to tell me what the point of this remake is. If you're going to remake a game, actually do something with it. What the fuck is the point of new graphics when they only subjectively look better than the old graphics and you don't make use of the 3D aspect at all? The fucking GRASS is still arranged in square tufts like it's a handheld Pokemon game. It's unacceptable and a ripoff at $60. RE2 remake wasn't perfect and certainly doesn't outright replace the original game, but it's a clear example of how a $60 retail remake should actually be done.
