They actually got sued for using that song, shows how competent Bethesda is.
SUCKS! I yell louder, to be heard over the music
yeah but to be fair that's just cause the artist was crazy and i'm pretty sure the suit didn't go anywhere
This thread is now sued for using my music associated with violence.
I'm a good christian boomer has-been singer and I don't not appreciate my work used for such awful themes.
Delete now or face legal retribution.

it's from 1961 so it shouldn't be in the game
only 50's and prior music should be in fallout games
game doesn't take place in the 50s idiot.
>shadman
Who the fuck decided that anyway? Like why the fuck are records from the 50s and older the only music people can find in the Fallout world? Is that ever explained? Is it in one of the older games I've been meaning to play since I don't like the new ones that much?
he wishes
That and grandma plays the numbers are the worst fucking songs
yeah I remember now
The old ones have background soundtrack, no 50s wacky music
F3 did that
Yeah...
Can Bethesda use Runaround Sue in Fallout 5?
No-one cared when New Vegas did it
I mean I like it, it's a comfy aesthetic, but it's kind of arbitrary.
Lou Begas had shit from the 90's in it.
Nah, I sided with Todd on that one.
>secure rights to use the song legally
>singer for song, Dion, realises that Fallout is a big deal and could fleece them for more money - needs it since he only sang (didn't even write) two good songs ever
>only realises this after the fact
>kicks up a big stink
>loses because retard
Its the same as Sapakowski or whoever he's called getting upset over the Witcher.
No, the 1950's music thing is entirely bethesda and started in Fallout 3 as a quick and dirty way to help reinforce the setting and the idea of the way the 'old world' was. Fallouts timeline diverges from the real worlds significantly in the mid 1900's. For example, by 1969 the United States was re-organized from 50 states to 13 common wealths as a middle tier government between the individual states and the federal

addendum: The music serves a purpose to reinforce the settings aesthetic of retrofuturism that was prevalent during the 50's and 60's, since that sort of optimism and bravado is what the setting was built on. Culturally, the world didn't advance past the jingoism of the 50's or the cold war. Hence the old timey music.
All the cheap or free to liscence music about nuclear war probably didn't hurt
