I do though
I prefer physical copies and refuse to use streaming shit like Stadia

where is the next freeman's mind, rossman

>reasoned that trackmania is set in a post-apocalyptic universe just because he really doesn't like chill music while driving

ross is such a weird guy

Can't imagine people actually supporting something like stadia either.

His autism speaks to me on a spiritual level

BASÉ!
I like the Deus Ex review because it's just minor pet peeves and then a full rant about the US government.

The first time I heard the phrase "games as a service" was from the mouth of Gabe Newell. Being that Steam is good and Valve is based, I must conclude that GaaS is also good and based.

Careful what you wish for buddy

Attached: CNCR_Hand_of_Nod.jpg (1579x955, 1.07M)

I thought there was a new vid.
What's a good slogan to replace PEACE THROUGH POWER?

>All his crazy theories and rants about random shit is a direct result of mold settling deep within his brain and corrupting his senses and memories
I wouldn't be surprised if his movie ends up being about the mold.

Attached: 1562247520455.jpg (418x398, 16K)

Fun gameplay through non-respawning enemies?

Attached: rosstib.jpg (1600x1000, 267K)

It's weird that he hated TM's music so much. Doesn't he love classic Need for Speed? Maybe I've got my electronica genres confused.

Steam is not the same thing as GaaS, DRM is still shit tho. Then again Steam made up for it by saving PC gaming, outsourcing keys on a competitive market which makes PC gaming much cheaper, etc.

STOP RESPAWNING ENEMIES!

>Movie's villains are reputable and believable in their villainy
>Halfway through mold just starts getting innocuously introduced on the walls and such, but characters don't acknowledge it and continue acting out the plot
>Eventually it gets on the characters
>Then the characters are replaced entirely by mold duplicates, but they still don't acknowledge the mold
>End of the film has exterminators with flamethrowers burning down all the mold and moldmen

Too long, it needs to be punchier.

ROSS LIVES IN MOLD
PEACE THROUGH MOLD?
Not sure, we'll figure something out.

No it's not. The thing is, you need to be able to play these games in say, 20 years. DRM (that can easily be cracked in steams case) be damned.

A game that is a service, once it dies, it's gone forever. It's not just

>hurpdurp DRM! it's a service!

>ross gets to eat polish candy with no effort
it's not fair

>It's a Ross reviews everything but the game episode

Attached: 500.png (424x464, 190K)

That's pretty good. Still not on the level of "Cult Simulator is unrealistic. Now THIS is how I'd recruit for a cult" but pretty good.

MOLD GAMES FUTURE

I swear Ross, I did, please don't sic the mold on me.

That Trackmania episode was a real return to form.
>post-apoc theory
>dedicates 1/3rd of the game to lighting changes
>review of the game itself is just "yeah it's basically fine" so he can go back to talking about automated cityscapes and canyons
Lot of fun.
His crusade against streaming/games as a service was cutting into episodes a bit too much. And once you've heard the points the first time, you're done, point made. Glad he just went and made a callout video to get it out of his system.

This, plus Steam uses DRM to lock games to their platform, once Steam goes then so does the DRM.

Ross rhymes with moss
The enemy of mold

Is that where he explains how he and his friend bought a bunch of souls for candy?

>(MOLD LIVES IN DEATH)

Attached: 1564203986863.jpg (376x471, 29K)

I think that was Go To Hell.

I love his game list. His taste is quite similar to mine.

Ross' autism is supremely charming.

Ross has the sort of taste that I respect, even if I don't agree with it. I dislike just about every game he likes, but I'm not disgusted by it.

I appreciate his taste of "realistic setting but it's also off in a surreal way too"

Attached: 1529894816505.gif (278x288, 228K)

Yeah, he definitely has actual taste and does not like stuff because it is popular or just to be a contrarian.

>takes a dump on speedrunners' autism
B A S E D

I still play some, but I don't buy any new ones or put money into the ones I play. So I'm doing my part.

Where are the drivers and spectators?

Ross is unabashedly based

What is the best award Ross has given on GD?

What games are these even, I can't think of a single game I play that fits this criteria.

Moss Scott Lives!

If it depends on a central server to play and is not subscription based it is a GaS.
Meaning if you unplug your ethernet the game should still work

Attached: 1552515326874.png (500x500, 38K)

It's not even close.

Although his Bozo's Night Out awards were winners, too.

Attached: itsdead.png (677x470, 95K)

Every multiplayer game that doesn't allow for direct IP, dedicated servers or LAN

All bitching about "e-celebs" was rendered null and void when Etika got a sticky. Go back to your smash thread, tranny.

Armed and Delerious is a great way to introduce people to Ross's game dungeon because I really doubt many youtuber's actually have the insanity required to sit through that game let alone work Windows 95 so it always catches people off guard since it's still a relatively obscure game to most folk

I like his award system

explain this zoomer how terrible windows 95 was

That really felt like a retarded way of preventing spamming when it really just caused more spamming

i felt that before watching his review
trackmania is a weird world even with normal tracks, let alone the shit you see in webms.

I just hate that he went for aliens instead of the obvious cause.
The self-driving cars became sentient and rendered down people into the heavy metals that compose them. The carbon structures in our bodies became a means of fuel. Any waste parts that couldn't be converted were rendered down into fuel for incinerators.
The racers in the stadium levels are just a handful of elite formula-1 drivers that have been inoculated with nanomachines to keep them from dying so they can race for the machines' amusement.
I mean, come on, Ross, I know the whole post-apoc setting thing was a joke, but you can make it internally consistent and still recognize the drivers in Stadium's promo material.

Aliens are cooler than robots.

The EDF disagrees

I mean, fair point. I would have pointed out the flaw in my reasoning that if the robots harvested humans for heavy metals and carbon components, then why didn't they harvest everything else? Property laws?

Bishop disagrees with the EDF.

Has this faggot been killed by mold yet?

>HE PLAYED A WEIRD VIDEO GAME!
>WHAT A MAD MAN!

Attached: soy.png (233x357, 209K)

>he saves pictures as such
>he enters threads about things he doesnt like
>he makes "silly" quotes
And then one day for no reason people took him behind the shack.

I remember reading somewhere that we aren't really good sources of energy. That's why stuff like Matrix doesn't really work well. But what could have happened is that the self driving cars are harvesting us for our brain processing power, plugging them in the cars themselves, so they can improve their own driving. Like extra memory sticks. The cars are then driven around the circuits to be trained.

>Don't make fun of my internet friends

Attached: soy2.jpg (324x419, 51K)

how is he still alive
don't they beat outsiders and faggots in pooland?

his skin isn't dark enough

i doubt he can speak polish though

the mold parasite handles that part of the brain

he looks enough of a mutt to fit perfectly in poland

Are there any other YouTubers out there similar to Ross? Even if they aren't game reviewers. The sort of casual, rambly, often off-topic style he has is something I haven't really seen anywhere else. I've seen people recommend Mandolore and Sseth, both of whom I enjoy, but they aren't really the same.

Is Ross legit autistic?

streamable.com/95b20

I thinks his Wolfenstein video is on the weaker side.
Looks like he didn't do much research to fix some one of his complaints.
You can totally increase the fov and disable the head bobbing shit in the .ini file.

based and moldpilled

None I've found. Matosis is probably the closest, but his videos are dry to a ridiculous degree.

But I won't have any names you haven't heard before. Fact is that most people who start youtube channels either have
• bad delivery
• bad production
• zero wit
• boring tastes and opinions
• refuse to edit or put any work in
or worst of all they've got all of the above - and then burn themselves out and quit after 20 videos, before the channel can even begin to pick up steam.

Considering he's flat out stated he hates doing the same thing over and over, probably.
Total sperg though.

You had me worried he died.

Imagine if there was mufflrd screaming coming from within the moldmen that only grew louder until the end.

Ross is a chad who moved to Poland to be with his waifu. Don't conflate him with your fucking bedwetting self-headhitting retard disease just because he happens to share the same interests as you (as the retarded mind is incapable of understanding that life does not revolve around them). Autists deserve nothing less than to be ground up into a nutrition paste to be fed to pigs.

>bald
>weak jaw
>chad
Stop it, Ross.

>Refuses to edit
I want to violently shake someone doing a video essay but keeps all their coughs and sniffs

I'm old and engaged, user, I doubt most of Ross' audience are tykes.

@477067782
Lol faggot.

>"it's not Ross' Game Dungeon grammar Nazis. It's ROSS'S with an S at the end. You don't say Ross Game Dungeon now, huh?"
>one of his videochat with fans reveals that he has a distinct southern accent which he purposefully hides

Damn this guy is weird.

All me

>bad delivery
I'm trying

Matthewmatosis also had a complete tonal shift where it seemed like he wanted to make "arty academic" videos where he just drying rambles about topics.

He'll never publish another video like the Bioshock Infinite one where he just goes on the warpath and destroys a game.

He doesn't seem like a real person in his new videos.

>drying
dryly*

Never watched Rosstopher before but I'm thoroughly enjoying his Deus Ex: HR critique.

Yeah, his videos where he isn't sucking that Kamiya/Miyazaki cock are great.

He's trying this weird meta approach to reviews, as if he's beyond people who watch his video for stuff like Bio Infinite.
He slapped GoW's asscheeks bright red but then he turned over to the audience and the devs going off about some shit.

>Deus Ex: HR critique.
Before watching that I thought that tinting the screen with immersive breaking shit wasn't that a big of a deal.
But then I watched the movie Enemy and saw what a fucking shit this "artstyle" is.

It was alright for the average gamer who didnt consciously think about the tint as a negative, just as a the games unique look.

>just as a the games unique look.
But they already managed that with the architecture, no need to put on a piss filter on top of that.

the piss filter was a topic that was largely already digested by everyone, but he does bring a good point about the plot/setting of HR standing limp before DE.

Yeah, as he said, it's just a GITS/Akira game with a Deus Ex name on it.

Enemy was horrifically ugly, grody, just distasteful and gross to look at and be in - by design, though.
HR was attempting sleek "black gold" abstract-futurism and just overdid it, more incompetence than anything.

Anyone else find his speech pattern kind of annoying? Like EVERYTHING he SAYS is so IMPORANT?

Civie11 is close, he's like an inbetween version of GmanLives and Ross. There's also Grim Beard, who goes on weird tangents and used to do RLM-lite horror skits.

It's like a mix between Christopher Walken and a raving homeless person. I like it, but then I like it as an obviously fake speech pattern.
It's the typical weedy/nasally youtuber voice I can't stand. Or something as fucking bizarre as Chef John from Food Wishes (dot com).

>Obviously fake
Explain. He never isn't speaking like that, if it's fake he's keeping it up for hours on end in the videochats

He's dropped it at several points.
Plus his much older videos. I've got a "narration/projection/video host" voice I can keep up all day too, it's still a very fake inflection.

>just because he really doesn't like chill music
Did you stop watching the video half-way through? His theory went way further than that, pointing out the lack of drivers, spectators, and wildlife like birds. His wild and/or interesting tangents is half the fun of watching his content

What's with all the Nod imagery?

Mold backwards

>Game Dungeon on probation
Fuck you freeman's mind niggers.

Attached: 1536934571287.jpg (2064x1065, 133K)

He just released a new one and said the follow-up episode is next.
If anything, Freeman's Mind is taking the backseat since they're not even doing better that GD episodes for views anymore, and get demonetized at the flip of a switch.

He said in his latest fan chat that he'd put the series on hold for a while, because of FM and THE MOVIE

His comment about it being on probation came after Trackmania though.

Aw, fuck.

Space station 13 is a game that is a service. But it's all community run and coded.

I wouldn't call it fake, just a natural progression. Go back and listen to any popular youtuber when they first started out and listen to the difference. I think it more has to do with building confidence than trying to be "fake".

Freeman's Mind isn't even worth watching.

*dab*

First ten episodes are fine.

Freeman's mind people need also realize that it will end when Half-life ends, unless he decides to also make all the other silent protags from the half-life series like HL:Decay, etc

GaaS that isn't made by committee for mass appeal should still be fine

There is no such thing as mold. You stupid fu

Ross is extremely autistic but in a really charming, work driven way
>makes his own maps of games worlds sometimes
>went out of his way to find the original maker of a games ost because he thought the HD version would sound nice
>got someone to mod half life maps to better fit his niche Machina series
Mad man

Ross will finish half life 3 himself to finish FM

Not that guy, but here's the vid.

youtu.be/-8tz7C6G99Y?t=31m22s

>the movie was a HL3 contingency plan all along

I love it, but it's an acquired taste

That's a good thing, though. I wouldn't want it to continue for ever - it's within the context of the (finite) game that it's interesting

What is Ross' problem with Phil?

Freeman's is the better series.

Mind*
I need coffee.

Ham & Cheese with Rye, you figure it out

And every other game with a silent protagonist.

I wonder if he'd benefit from doing a different character. Writing new jokes about the same personality has to be a pretty slow process at this point.

He mentioned if it finishes he'll do project borealis.

He should do Mitchell's mind.

>ross is such a weird guy
you think that because of the trackmania video and not the cult tyccon video where he goes in detail in how you can join a cult?

Isn't that just a sandwich?

Attached: rye bread.jpg (2000x1500, 932K)

It is, but fuck knows what it has to do with a breakout clone.

>let's talk about the music

>the "all videos on hold" video

HOW DEEP DOES IT GO BROS?????

Attached: MASK.jpg (1280x720, 113K)

what about alien robots?

Attached: 1556831157153.png (433x434, 221K)

Why do people make fun of him about the mold thing? He seemed irritated about it during the chat with fans.

They're just robots, no?

You watch those? I can't get through them. Even as background noise, too many awkward deliveries.

I usually put them on when I'm going to sleep. It's a good background noise to fall asleep to.

Any work being done on defucking the other Trackmania games?

One of the few gaming YouTubers I consistently like, he has like the perfect balance of autistic enthusiasm for things and being pleasant to listen to

That reminds me, Sea of Thieves' MTX store opens on Wednesday. Hype.

Freeman's Mind >>>>>> Freeman's Mind 2

Truly a man who breaks the mold.

t. Ross turned evil by mold

Only because it's finished. I'm really looking forward to the car section in FM2, Ravenholm, and anything else with Kleiner

I don't think the decay protags are silent

I commend him for making an immensely long video shitting on games as a service, but something tells me that most of the people who watch his videos didn't really need an hour long presentation to be convinced

Based. Fuck government handout-taking retards. Their parents should be gelded to prevent any more of them from popping out.

Attached: yes.webm (1024x768, 1.58M)

He tried that with Doom for one maybe two episodes. It was alright but he clearly ran out of jokes quickly.

I sat through 40 episodes and just couldn't get into it.

Attached: 123627638253872.jpg (800x450, 52K)

I want to autistically ramble on about video games I enjoyed. What's the best way to go about this? How do i capture Ross's charm? I see so much potential in this, it's like this was made for me.

that was just an april fools thing

It's a bit of a losing battle since the internet masses don't have the attention span. Plus, all they need is to find one minute flaw to dismiss everything else. Doesn't matter that the flaw has an easy solution, it's enough to ignore it.
Plus, as much as I'd like to see it, Ross doesn't have enough power to get a movement going. The most he can do is raise awareness but the people who watch him are already going to be agreeing with him.

Sure but he clearly didn't really know where to take the jokes other than "rough voice about being brutal". With Freeman he created this entire archetype for him, filled with backstory. It's hard for me to see how he'd be able to do other X's Mind.

>Ross makes the spiritual successor to Motivational Growth

Attached: 1537397016945.jpg (820x820, 43K)

Lots of research, editing passes on the script, practice at delivery, so on.
Ross's secret is that he makes it look like he's idly rambling when he's not. There are many actual ramble-channels in the world and they're all garbage. Treat a game like it's a project to really sink your teeth into and shred it apart, to show its innards with the world, and don't be afraid to get autistic with your interpretation and perspective.
And then edit it down to cut out all the boring shit. Do multiple takes. Try different ways of approaching the material.

Good luck.

Was that the movie that they showed in the Pre Pre Show at E3?

>Calling Ross cancer
You just blow in from stupid town?

what does "editing passes on the script" mean?

yup

Editing your script. Simply rambling on about something isn't interesting unless you have a point to make.

You do a first draft - stream of consciousness, mostly, adhering to points you remember as you go.
Then you read it, voice it without recording, maybe save as a copy so you're not afraid to fuck with it, and then fuck with it. Add sentences where you're too quick on points, remove shit when it's lagging or getting redundant, brainstorm ideas for jokes or japes to prop it up as it goes. Check pacing, insert new material.

Good for scripts, novels, screenplays, whatever the fuck. Just pour time and energy into something and it'll stop being shit.

>His Cult Tycoon video was so good that it actually made me wonder if joining a cult would be a good life path

Attached: It’s called consolidation.jpg (1024x686, 390K)

It's not.
>t. disowned Jehovah's Witness
Ross was just checking into it as a viable apocalyptic community. Which it is, I suppose.
Don't join a cult, guys.

>Jehovah's witness
>Cult
Stop being so dramatic, obviously user meant something like heavens gate, not some mainstream fag religion

A good example of Ross having great pacing and comedic timing in his scripts is the Quarantine video. He uses the passenger lines as a good break between different points early on, and when he's getting angry at the game being frustrating, he uses those passengers as both a way to add to the frustration but also to use it as a joke in between the anger.

>JW
>not a cult
>literally have to cut ties with your blood related family if they aren't part of your religion or risk being kicked out
>not a cult

Christian Cults suck ass. They're boring as hell and obsessed with an inevitable apocalypse It's Eastern stuff you want to roll with. The Rajneesh was dope.

I genuinely dislike racing games. But Jesus, watching Ross play stuff like The Crew and Trackmania are some of my favorite videos on YouTube.

Lord Ross you are wrong, some games as services are ok, see TF2

It has been supported for over a decade with tons of content at no extra cost

Attached: 5f0.gif (540x300, 2.59M)

And yet here you are crying about it on Yea Forums. Hardly a cult, just a series of stupid decisions.
See

How do you dislike moving a vehicle in a game?

Yeah, guess I'm a fag. You'd probably need flashcards and the patience of a saint to teach a Heaven's Gate dropout how to shitpost. If they survived the whole mass suicide thing, anyway.

Hey man, if the cult guarantees you a lifetime's supply of pussy and chillax meditation, then it's not "joining a cult", it's profiteering off the world's retardation. Go nuts.

It's just moving a rectangle object around the map. What's fun about it?

>its the youtuber wasted his whole fucking time editing a shitty "animated" character episode
Literally, why do people do this?

>stop using cars
>stop supporting VISA and Mastercard
you just cant vote with your wallet. it never worked and never will.

I mean, it worked when the staff for GoW responded to him.

I think once you've developed a clear articulate criticism of the medium, people involved in the craft of games will understand that and respond.

I think it's in part due to his coding background. The latest video with inductive/deductive plays a huge part in game design but also player feedback.

I think Valve has always been an expectation to the rest of the industry. Despite somewhat popularizing bad things like the equivalent to lootboxes, they offer an alternative, either as the Mann Co store, the Steam Market or trading. Even the idea of relaying on a central server, people can make their own servers so TF2 would escape that fate, if Valve were to shut it down.
But it still is something to be concerned about. You could probably ask for his thoughts on TF2 during one of his streams with fans.

Classic "putting the cart before the horse" syndrome. They're so fixated on being different and over-produced to a ridiculous degree to attract new viewers, instead of just focusing on the basics and making a damn good video.

None of the dozens of hours Action Points spent animating his little Metal Gear avatar made up for his faggot voice or poor script.

you need to solve a problem of moving better with your visual + hand coordination system

>in the .ini file.
If the only solution to change an issue is to go into an ini file, then it's still worth the complain.

He feels like that stoner friend you have who you just lay around and listen to all his wack ass rambles only to find out he's not even smoking anything thats just how his mind works.

Its oddly refreshing to have someone without a filter on what he says but still is grounded in reality... sort of.

>have professional friend

I'm starting to think that this whole autism thing is a ruse to just call weird people 'medically disabled' so they can get free money.

Attached: tumblr_ooddaa483m1sk5oq0o1_400.png (400x206, 35K)

>since the internet masses don't have the attention span
Not completely true. Podcasts are popular for a reason. Sadly, the people who would benefit the most from hearing this are the ones without much of an attention span

That doesn't mean it's fake, it just means he deliberately chose not to speak in the fashion of the people he lived around, which speaking as an actual low-functioning autist myself, I can relate to.

Disabilities can be surpassed.
Potential can be squandered.

>podcasts are evidence of good attention span
user, how many people are listening to podcasts WHILE they're doing something else, because that something else isn't "engaging" enough to hold their attention?

It's just not what I'm into generally. I really liked Need For Speed: Underground 2, but that was mostly because of the aesthetic, sound track, and Tokyo Drift came out around the same time so I was all in on that as a burgeoning weeb.

But generally there's just not enough variety in driving games to keep me interested. I don't mind the crashing minigames in burnout, but pure racing grows tedious to me.

it struck me as weird that gaas kind of lost its original definition. when tf2 came out the idea of a game as a service was great. continued post launch support meant the game stayed fresh. tf2 came out at a time when non-valve multiplayer shooters were relevant for like 2 years max unless it was doom or quake or UT. heck those games don't even have the player base that tf2 does today.

there isn't anything wrong with a game as a service, it's just that when the service is shit it has had a negative effect on the perception. if I go to a shit restaurant and the waiters are shit I don't blame the 'idea' of table staff. I just go to a better restaurant the next time.

Podcasts are a bit different since you're just meant to listen to them while doing something else. Ross' video kinda needs you to be paying attention, plus actually watching the video since he actually pulls out some sources on stuff.

This. Got diangosed and was pretty much on Chris-Chan levels of sperg and during highschool I pretty much grew myself out of it. Nobody can even tell.

Feel pretty bad about what happened to Chris Chan in retrospect. Makes me wonder if he had the same level of support if he wouldn't of cut a vag into his dick.

The "new" definition of GaaS is that the license you buy to play the game can be revoked at any time, preventing you from playing the game, because it's a service that can be terminated at any time. This is the definition that pisses Ross off, because it's a blank check for companies to kill games on a whim.

TF2 is a GaaS under the "old" definition of the company providing a service of updating the game, but doesn't fit the "new" terrible definition because the license you bought still allows you to play the game even if Valve were to hypothetically terminate its service of updating the game.

You can be chad and an autist, low-tier autist. See: Ross.

>The "new" definition of GaaS is that the license you buy to play the game can be revoked at any time, preventing you from playing the game, because it's a service that can be terminated at any time.
I don't think that's quite right. Ross usually rails against games that become totally unplayable, not because your license was revoked but because the game relied on servers which are no longer functioning. I guess I'm nitpicking but whatever. The issue is less about licensing and more about games actually relying on infrastructure over which the user has no control. They'd eventually become unplayable regardless of licensing terms.

Yeah, you're right. I just focused on the license bit because that's on the legal side that protects companies when they pull this central server crap.

TF2 is just a game that's seen continuous support and updates for a long, long time. It was never supposed to be a GaaS game, and never advertised as such. The main point is that you bought the game, and you now own it, and even if/when they stop supporting it you won't lose access to it. You could argue that a game like Terraria saw the same kind of commitment, though of course without microtransactions, in the many, many updates that were released. In other words, it's a Game as a Commitment, or a GaaC

the man's got a point

Don't like it, then don't buy it
not every game has to be for you

Attached: Ross from Accursed Farms.png (370x320, 156K)

damn that falls right into my uncanny valley

>THE MOVIE
That's still happening?

What the fuck is that shit on this söi bois face

I don't agree with all of Ross' opinions, but I can respect his conviction. It never feels like he says anything to kowtow to public opinion. He's honest with his likes and dislikes.

I could see him enjoying it. Don't know how he feels about card games. But he'll likely only play it if someone gives it to him.

>takes screenshot of one of his videos
>tries to sell them as his drawings
Nice try faggot

It's always happening. It's happening right now. This is it, this is the movie. YOU'RE the movie. WE'RE the fucking movie, man.

It's so big that you can't even see it happening infront of you, like the fuckin universe.

I'm almost the exact opposite as a 'gamer' compared to Ross, Game Dungeon is still my favourite content on youtube.

>Trackmania is basically a video game sequel to Maximum Overdrive.

Ross is such a fucking treasure I love him

>no mold in the walls
not realistic enough

really captured the deranged killer lunatic Ross W. Scott there champ

Ha, ha.

today i will remind them of Ross Scott's 'machinima' website GORILLA GONG

you can no longer play TF2 retail or orange box version, aka the one without hats

>Matosis
>closest to Ross
What the hell are you smoking? He's shit tier and nowhere near as good as Ross.

It was never ross's
They called him in, he said yes but slowly drifted away because it wasnt worth the effort

There are different levels of autism (high functioning ones being hard to discern from a
idiosyncrasy), not to mention that certain mental illnesses ultimately don't matter to the society unless you're somehow disrupting it (for example, if someone is autistic and can contain their autism or keep it low enough that it looks like he's just a quirky guy, there won't be any problems). Of course, this doesn't apply to all mental diseases (for example, schizophrenia).
It is hard to diagnose people, though, as psychiatry isn't a field as clear as most of the others. For example, sometimes it's questionable if someone is autistic or has asperger's. Hell, someone might be a bit quirky and be diagnosed with certain disorder when he doesn't have it. This doesn't apply to certain really tougher and more obvious mental disorders like schizophrenia (when it's not hidden for various reasons).

i see it as a defeat of "machinimas" in general, the most successful machinimas today are porn and Minecraft highschool, fortnite shit

It's all a matter of hiding your power level.

Low key schizoids fall solidly into the "somewhat quirky" niche. They have some fanciful ways of thinking, but it's a long way from proper full on "delusions and hallucinations" schizophrenia. It is entirely possible for the first to deteriorate into the second with age though.
t. spent 4 months in a loony bin over the last year

Machinima is such a dumb concept in general. I'm guessing the original idea was to use in-game footage, like in the Red Vs. Blue series, but once you use external programs it's just making an animated movie/clip with assets someone else made

What's the best dead game?

>It is entirely possible for the first to deteriorate into the second with age though
Yeah, amongst many theories there's that one that schizoid personality disorder is a "minor" variant of a "major" mental disease (schizophrenia in this case), the same goes for all the other personality disorders.
>t. spent 4 months in a loony bin over the last year
What was the reason, user?

i usually would say city of heroes but that's not the case anymore

STOP SHILLING OVERRATED E-CELEBS WITH ABYSMAL TASTE

You can, you just have to set up a server.
It's that easy.

Despite what nostalgiafags claim, bringing back "old" tf2 wouldn't do anything. Hell, you can play it now, but nobody does.

Resistant clinical depression, nothing special. I met some fun people there though, like a bipolar guy that would order loads of food right into the hospital whenever he had a manic episode.
And a drug addicted schizoid guy that somehow managed to hook up with two separate underage chicks (not at the same time, just over my stay there) over the internet and then convince them to visit him in the fucking hospital, he'd go out on dates with them while wearing the fucking hospital rags and neither of the chicks seemed to mind. He broke up with both of them himself eventually. What a fucking chad.

The Trackmania video is the only one I've watched but man it made me want to play some Trackmania. Haven't touched the series since United Forever was popular.

what is this mold people keep talking about?

What parte of GAMES you didnt get It?
Also boring with your Wallet worked for Devil May Cry

Schizoids are that deep, spiritual, mysterious mystical guy stereotype.

They have the same mental flaw as a schizophrenic, which is being somewhat disconnected from reality, and seeing patterns and connections where there are none, but in a much more subdued fashion. It makes them seem aloof and cool, and also makes them "see" connections between seemingly unrelated subjects, making them seem enlightened. Chicks are into that, I guess.
A lot of philosophers and artists were schizoid.

It can quickly deteriorate into beoming a conspiracy nut, a religious fanatic, etc., though. And eventually, full blown schizophrenia.

>It makes them seem aloof and cool, and also makes them "see" connections between seemingly unrelated subjects, making them seem enlightened. Chicks are into that, I guess.
Fuck yeah

Sounds like they are some interesting people, that's what makes psychiatry so interesting to me, although I always get sad when a person's life gets ruined by some mental disorder. Also:
>order loads of food right into the hospital whenever he had a manic episode
He would order food without the hospital staff knowing? What would they say when the orders arrived at the hospital?
>a drug addicted schizoid guy
I'm guessing he was there because of the drug addiction? Personality disorders aren't treated as a mental disorder, although people with them can get the meds if the personality is really disrupting their life.
>somehow managed to hook up with two separate underage chicks
He must have been pretty attractive to pull that off.

>Chicks are into that, I guess.
They are into whoever looks hot, doesn't matter what his mental state is like.
>It can quickly deteriorate into beoming a conspiracy nut, a religious fanatic, etc., though. And eventually, full blown schizophrenia.
Definitely, but it depends on the personality of the character.

no, that game doesn't exist anymore
unless you have a copy of it backed up because you disabled automatic updates back in 2007

You can download the client easily from the internet.
Also, the console version is still running.

I miss Civil Protection.

>You can download the client easily from the internet.
I know there's a mod that emulates retail TF2, but I doubt torrent sites even bother archiving obsolete versions of multiplayer shooter

>Also, the console version is still running.
yeah, probably. Not sure how it's handling netcode, but if it's peer2peer it'll keep running until they shut down your xbawks live or ps plus or whatever

Literally everything gets backed up on the internet, a highly popular and successful game especially.
Not to mention you can literally rip the game from the original disk and crack it.

Am I the only one who thinks ross looks kinda "off"?
He looks like a skinwalker

>Not to mention you can literally rip the game from the original disk and crack it.
suppose so, but then only other pirates can join your game because of executable hashsum mismatch

It was a mental hospital, not a full blown asylum, we barely had any people there that had to be micro-managed to that degree, maybe a couple at most and those were usually very old and or feeble.
Most of us could leave and go on walks or buy something from nearby shops, as long as we notified the personnel and returned before 9pm. Hospital staff didn't really care about the orders, except one relatively fresh nurse that tried to stop us once, at which point we just waited until the other nurses changed her before ordering something. We'd usually tell the courier to stop at the gates and call us, at which point we'd go outside, pick up the order and carry it back. Naturally courier couldn't carry the food into the hospital building itself, there were guards at the gates and stuff.
The schizoid guy was there with depression, but they found that he's schizoid during his stay there, which is why I'm referring to him as such, since he was pretty lively for a depressed person, getting girlfriends and whatnot. Outside of women his interests were entirely centred around drugs though, he was a pharma-druggie, his favourite and most regular was some anti-epilepsy pill the name of which I can't recall, but he also loved to tell extensive stories about his experiences with opioids and amphetamines. He was open about his addiction to the doctors too, he even had that anti-epilepsy pill prescribed to him for the first couple of weeks there.

His teeth are all fucked

Which makes it function like literally any other multiplayer game that doesn't rely on a central server (any any drm free game, for that matter), meaning it's not GaaS and you can play the old version. People still play even CS 1.6.
Did I really have to walk you through the argument point by point?

>his favourite and most regular was some anti-epilepsy pill the name of which I can't recall
BRING BACK THE FUCKING QUAALUDES

>he even had that anti-epilepsy pill prescribed to him for the first couple of weeks there.
How could they do that?

my mental hospital was a little more hardcore than user's summer camp, but hell, they'll prescribe you fucking anything. If my memory of that time wasn't full of holes and if I didn't have total loss of fine dexterity coming OFF whatever the fuck they fed me in there I'd be suspicious.

It's like pretty much every single human creation: It can be used for god and for evil.
See expansions/ DLCs, dozens at best are actually good and worth their price, but the VAST, VAST majority are overpriced as fuck.
Streaming vidya IN THEORY is great, but the people in power only care about making the most money in the least amount of time, and to do that you have to rape consumers and their rights, so they'll do that.

Unrelated to the topic but can it be there a yuri's revenge version of Ross?

Honestly i find him being part of brotherhood of nod to be hilarious at best!

Looking forward to him getting the Gravity gun and going mad with power. Especially at the end where it gets powered up.

It was pregabalin, I only knew it as "lyrica" and turns out that's not just a slang name, that was the actual brand name of the pills at some point, at least somewhere in the world
Dunno, I'm in a second world country if that makes more sense, rules here can get pretty lax. At least the dude told me that he was prescribed it for the first few weeks, afterwards he started sneaking them in.
Even shared them with me once, can't say I was terribly impressed, there was nothing to their effect that made me feel good, just increasingly strong loss of coordination into bright flashes in front of the eyes (or "cartoons" as they were lovingly referred to by the schizoid guy) and then I got knocked out for a while, luckily we did it in the evening, so the nurses just thought I was sleepy or something. I might have overdone it with my first portion though, the bipolar guy was constantly nagging the schizoid one to give me an extra pill because according to him I clearly "wasn't feeling it".

I think it's more likely he'll go on a rant about the resistance or whatever they are when they have that kind of technology and only use it to play with a robot dog. Really curious how he's going to solve the EP1 (or 2? I forget) part where you have to defend resistance members while they get on the train, and Alyx says they'll stay behind to get the next train. I'm assuming he'll say "fuck that" and get on the train anyway

I lack the talent to make this happen, but let me know if you get it done.
