Unless there is outside intervention it will happen when people with taste can convince normalfags that the marketing is shit, that the game isn't a status symbol and that their friends aren't playing that game.
And normalfags are fucking dense as shit and won't seek out conflicting information on their own so instead their attention span is getting saturated with marketing that is telling them that "Yes, your friends are playing this game" and unless there is a perfect storm to saturate their attention span with the right opinion then they will continue to buy mediocre games.
