Actually, since his idle and potentially other animations involve his hat, it's either fem Terry or nothing. I hope I'm wrong and they pull off different animations for a Garou alt though.

Given Smash usually won't even given Pokemon their shiny variants as alternates, there's no telling if they'll stick with Terry's expected alts or not. They might make them all based on other SNK characters.

I have never used GIMP, but on Paint.net

Supposedly the Pokemon don't have their shiny colors as alts because Gamefreak won't let them.

Most of Ryu's alt colours were based on their SSF2T incarnations. Except a cyan alt, which got replaced for his SFA looks.
If anything, it's most likely that Terry will also have his actual game alts.
